Melech 9,900
Yes. Because he saved a lot of lives in there by confronting the gunman. The gunman could have potentially killed many people in there if he wasn't stopped. A murder is a murder tho
Morphine Prince 109,767
A murder is a murder tho Self defense is an excusable "murder." He protectd everyone in that building. They'd be reporting more murders if the gunman wasn't stopped. So if "a murder is a murder" you should be glad there was only one "murder" and not multiple. And btw, it wasn't a "murder." Murder is unlawful. In this case he was legally allowed to kill the gunman in self defense.

craig 680
It's cool that a 58 year old who carries the ceremonial mace, managed to take down the terrorist in a gun battle at the centre of Parliament.

craig 680
I have my belief. Death is not a solution imo In the case of someone with a gun intend on killing as many people as possible, it's the only solution. Especially if killer has no intention of being taken alive. That's the most devastating problem for a believer in pacifism and non-resistance to deal with.

Especially if killer has no intention of being taken alive. That's the most devastating problem for a believer in pacifism and non-resistance to deal with. Exactly. In real situations like this there's no time to sit down for coffee and discuss solutions. It is a life or death moment. Either the gunman is going to kill as many as possible or the gunman will be the one to perish. You can't be rational with someone who is acting irrationally. He would shoot any of them in that building without hesitating. The fact that this man was brave enough to confront this terrorist is something that should be applauded. Most of us would probably be shocked with fear and would not know how to react.

Grizzlybear2 457
For anyone wondering this was yesterday afternoon at the War Memorial where our Canadian Soldier was shot and later died from his wounds; it was a very somber and eerie environment.http://instagram.com/p/ujH0korNNH/

I didn't know what it was until I clicked it. I live in the US. The poster really should not post that sort of propaganda on this website.
