Economy 52,883
http://news.nationalpost.com/2014/10/21/canada-on-track-to-balance-the-books-a-year-ahead-of-schedule-budget-watchdog/ Halfway through the 2014-2015 fiscal year the numbers have been upgraded Originally the Government planned for 1 last year of deficit at $2.9 Billion (not counting the $3 billion cushion added into the budget for risk)... Now instead of a $2.9 Billion deficit the new estimates are for a almost $4 billion surplus ($7 billion when $3 billion budget cushion is excluded) This puts Ottawa in surplus 1 year ahead of schedule. Economy 52,883
How nice for Canada. It is well deserved to such a humble country. Now, if only the US could get out of its money humpappears better than it is Its just that in the US a higher percentage of debt is owned by the Federal Government... $18Trilliom debt but under $22 Trillion in total (less than $4Trillion from States) In Canada our Government debt is $1.2Trillion but only about half ($600 billion) is from Federal Government while the rest is Provincial Over-all were still better than the US but our National debt of only 30% of GDP needs to be taken with a grain of salt cuz we have more debt in lower levels of government than most countries Over-all still not that bad tho
