Nobody can force you to support young artists, that doesn't make you a bad person. but to try to shade them? to bring them down? THAT DOES make you a bad person! That's what she meant.in no way does it invalidate how much of an influence Madonna was for a HUGE portion of her career. Regardless it was still petty to have to tack on something about Madonnas character. If she really is no longer an inspiration then there was no need to bring her up at all.
