If she released it now, it would be a big hit. If she released it in 10 years, it would be a big hit. It's timeless. Most people don't even know ARTPOP exists, so it won't matter that the 'era is over'. If they hear a great song on the radio, they'll buy it. I honestly think if she never releases Gypsy in any form, whether it's the ARTPOP version or a reworked version, it will be the biggest missed opportunity of her career. Bigger than DITD, bigger than Scheisse. It's the kind of song legends wish they had written. i think its a good song but not legendary. It has quite a lot in common with GUY on some field imho - nice concept and catchy lyrics, but the details and instrumental make the Song kinda tiring like 'Gypsy gypsy gypsy hey' part. i like all ARTPOP songs in general , but I think at this stage everything would flop.
