A song can be re-released anyway as part of a new album, assuming she won't be allowed to release a new single from AP. But considering her next album might be her last one with her current contract, doubtful it'd easily make the cut. If she released it now, it would be a big hit. If she released it in 10 years, it would be a big hit. It's timeless. Most people don't even know ARTPOP exists, so it won't matter that the 'era is over'. If they hear a great song on the radio, they'll buy it. I honestly think if she never releases Gypsy in any form, whether it's the ARTPOP version or a reworked version, it will be the biggest missed opportunity of her career.
