Pain of fame1 228
For Santa Barbara, which is literally feet from the ocean, that's a VERY hot day. Also, the humidity was so thick it was like walking through soup... especially when the power went out and there was no air conditioning... Some of the older patrons were stricken ill by the intense heat + humidity. Even I had to beg water off a bartender because I felt exhausted! But thank goodness Tony still wanted to go on with the show the next week! The Granada Theater is beautiful. It's exactly these kinds of venues I want Gaga and Tony to perform in, for maximum acoustic impact! One question: Your actual job is working on gaga daily? How much are you paid to work here? And how were you chosen to be an admin?

giskardsb 12,565
Great write up and review Chica. Fun jazz fact: the form of chord progression in "I got rhythm" is so popular among many jazz tunes that songs that follow the form are said to be "rhythm changes." Learning to successfully navigate this progression is a required part of becoming a Jazz musician.

Sakrai 4,759
"I'd like you to buy the record because she really needs the money!" This though I'm wondering if she told him she needed the money for future projects or something or he concluded that He's just being funny because everyone knows Gaga doesn't need money. Because she's rich af :deadbanana: Oh, I'm just visiting-

TEANUS 13,507
I think I'm gonna love the Cheek to Cheek tour because they'll be able to do like 5 shows or more in a row at each venue because of their size. I know they're small but it looks cool to see 5 shows in a row at the same venue British social ladies with upturned pinkies, glasses clinking // xoxoTEANUS

Emvee 7,896
"both interested in expanding the musical knowledge-base of their fans, in both directions." Feels one-sided to me. The Jazz community embracing Gaga as much as they have is a big accomplishment. They could've totally rejected her, but you can't deny talent. That will always be Gaga's strength. Talent and passion. RetroPhysico 748
I never thought the Cheek to Cheek era would last that long I hope she sings 1 jazz song, and 3-4 pop songs in space
ChicaSkas 22,411
The Jazz community embracing Gaga as much as they have is a big accomplishment. They could've totally rejected her, but you can't deny talent. That will always be Gaga's strength. Talent and passion.I really am so glad this collaboration happened. When you say the words "Lady Gaga" to most members of the general public, you get a wide range of looks and responses, but inevitably these come up: "Oh, that girl who wore the meat dress?" "You mean the gay one." "She's an attention seeker, isn't she?" THIS ALBUM STOPS ALL OF THAT. They will see her as a normal, singing human being, not as a shock-value puppet or something confusing that they don't have the willingness to try to understand. This album changes everything! Thanks for all the positive feedback on it, by the way. Reading comments like yours is why I do this work. Bless you all! -- C. Do YOU own the 4' by 6' Perfect Illusion promo Poster?
