Yeah so when her clothing gets stuck in the filter, and she drowns to death, her family can sue for $$$ for letting her swim in the first place.

they aren't discriminating against her because she's muslim. it was her clothing causing a safety issue. the sign is there for anyone to see. the real problem here is that people are used to their religion trumping anything and everything.

 

felt bad for her because she was crying, but wearing a full body swimsuit is not going to send you to hell. the fact that these women are scared to show their arms and legs in public because they've been indoctrinated as children is what's really troubling.

She should buy a full body swimsuit or something. I remember having to swim in actual clothes for swimming practice as a kid, it was supposedly incase we ever fell overboard on a boat and needed to swim and stay afloat. The clothing becomes very heavy and it is a lot harder to swim.

 

The pool can't just let everybody swim in these types of clothes, it heightens the risk of drowning. I feel bad for her, but i'm sure she could wear a rashy that covered her entire upper-half and some suitable swimming leggings.

Honestly, I feel this woman. I hate going to the pool or water park and them having to tell me to take off my shirt. For one, I barely even like showing off my legs in shorts. The only times I wear shorts are when I go to sleep, exercise, or go to the pool or water park. I don't like to feel exposed. Second, it shouldn't matter if I or anybody else wears regular clothes or different clothing attire. Obviously, many other and I know that we run the risk of something happening. That's like telling someone they can't run to school because they're wearing boots and not sneakers which I've actually done and almost broke my heels in the process but I knew the risk and that didn't stop me. So I hope this woman sues the clothes off that rec center's back.

In this case I'm agree with the "pool", especially for the hygiene-safety reasons, if there is a "dress" code based on safety reasons you have to respect that, it's not like the story of the boxer vs slip. 

 

I don't wanna sound rude but these people can't expect to live in a modern occidental country (like USA) with their ancient traditions at all and demand to be accepted, especially if we talk about the burqua-veil issue, also because if a occidental woman go to their country has to put the veil and follow their rules with no objections.

Even these veilkinis/burqinis are banned at many pools in Europe for some reason.

Notice how the employer didn't say no when asked if the rec center was discriminating her because of her religion.

I feel bad for her. I've seen many people swim in the clothes that Leo posted above my post. Not sure why that very center was so against it, but it definitely does look like she was not allowed to swim because of her beliefs. I don't fancy them either but respect their lifestyle just like I want them to respect mine. No need to reject and not allow them to swim in the same pool. :shrug:

I don't know where I stand on this issue but I mean public safety will always trump religion.

Just for example, say someones religion required them to go to church once a week but then they get involuntarily quarantined for ebola. They have to give up their religious practice and conform to what better suits the public.
