The court also has jurisdiction over Maryland, West Virginia and the Carolinas. That decision was put on hold by an appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court. This week, the country’s highest court decided not to get involved, and Virginia started issuing marriage licenses to gay couples that afternoon. The ruling also started the clock in the Carolinas, home to at least four marriage lawsuits that had been delayed until the Supreme Court made its thinking known. Florida is legalizing it in early January 2015, while Texas and Arkansas having pending appeals. No word yet on my floppy state - Flopiana.
