Saying that a 10 y.o could write it is trying too hard, sorry. These lyrics are relatable, witty, they already sound great when we haven't even heard the song yet.

These lyrics >>>>> whole ARTPOP lyrics and I ain't even sorry cuz I'm right. Take Brooklyn Nights for example.

Nuh uh :thetea:

ARTPOP has some amazing lyrics. Froot is amazing too, both Gaga and Marina are awesome songwriters, but there's no way this single song is better than the entirety of ARTPOP.

Basic. A 10 year old could write this.

Fairly sure any 10 year old wouldn't refer to themselves as a carnal rose but OK..

I love the lyrics so much.

is this what music has come to?

What don't you like about it?

These lyrics are so good!!! Marina ia able to write such good, relatable pop lyrics. That's what makes a good pop song. The ability to express shared feelings. I can't wait to scream these lyrics tomorrow. Thank God for Marina, the real new pop princess.

Watch and Learn, Gaga!

If there is anyone Gaga will never need to take notes from... Its marina :lmao:

I take it that you - like me - are completely impartial and not in any way swayed by an undying standom for Marina?

Didn't think so.

These lyrics are boring, and could easily have been written by a 10 year old. The verses start to get good before they finish - and then it gets to the chorus lyrics... uuhhhhmm... no.

I liked some of Marina's previous stuff - her singles from Family Jewels and most of Electra Heart - but this just falls flat on all levels. Hopefully - like with alot of Gaga's work (which, by the way, slating brooklyn nights to act like that's somehow going to mean Marina's writing on Froot is amazing.. uh.. no. BN isn't a particularly well written song other than the prechorus and chorus.. not that that has ANYTHING to do with Froot. Also, in BN, the lyric about Brigitte Neilsen's hair.. yes it's relatable. It's like saying (to people your age) 'remember when britney shaved her head') - it sounds better on record.

ok. you have some good points. But I think it's a good lyric. there's A LOT of metaphors going on and it couldn't be written by a 10 y.o imo. Only by Queen Marina.

I agreed with you till you crossed the line.

Firstly, BN isn't even on ARTPOP so your point is?

And these lyrics are both (I'm regferring to froot and BN) a song about love just one glamorises it the other doesn't.

And the song ARTPOP's lyrics >>>>>>> This.

Sorry but you're just as pressed.

"Lovers kite, are flown of beaches for public site"

"My heart can beat with bricks and strings"

"The color palette you choose, can profit you."

And this is coming from a Marina fan. If anyone needs to take notes, it's definately not Gaga.

yes, good point, sis. I agree ARTPOP the song is >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> everything else

I didn't mean to insult Gaga tho. I meant to express that sometimes her lyrics can be a little self-centered, that's a fair critic. I just wasn't a big fan of most of ARTPOP's lyrics too. but I agree it DOES have some good, clever moments like Applause, Venus and Aura besides ARTPOP (the best thing ever). I didn't mean for it to sound insulting.

Apologies to anyone offended, afterall this is GGD. I'd never criticize Gaga anywhere besides here anyway, I'm not a two-face.

YES. This argument is definitely solid and falsifies Froot >>>>>>>>>> whole ARTPOP's lyrics. I went a bit over the edge from the excitement earlier today. I already apologized for that.
