Remember when BTW shifted like 6M copies in a matter of months?

:fthis: Arturo, you gonna have to hold me back cause I'm about to let it fly and someone's gonna get dragged to the pits :grr:

The ARTPOP era still sold more records than some other girls' recent eras :hehe:

Like I said, the 1.85M number is from Mediatraffic.

IFPI reported 2.3M by the end of 2013 but those are most likely shipments. Gaga then said, around March 2014, that ARTPOP shifted 2.5M copies. Once again, Gaga's numbers were based on shipments.

Thnx ;)

ARTPOP's sales are pretty horrible. That's not even an insult to Gaga, she's doing very well with C2C. But compared to her previous records, that album SEVERELY underperformed. No one said it was her fault, either. She clearly had management conflict and personal issues going on, and it's done with. She's in a better place mentally and commercially now than she was then. It's a statement of fact, not shade.

All of this is true. People need to stop being in denial :awkney:

Things are looking better with her management and the next era is surely going to be a much smoother ride :whitney:

why do we still get as a serious source the numbers published by some random guy sitting at home behind his computer rather that using the numbers that record labels and OFFICIAL sources are giving us?

And even if you want to take the numbers by that random guy, do you really think that the album hasn't sold even one copy since december 2013 (1.85M)? :toofunny: do you REALLY think it hasn't crossed the 2M mark WW? LMAO.

That 1.85M number from Mediatraffic is actually a recent estimation of mine since the last number reported was 1.83M like 2 months ago.....

So no, that Mediatraffic number isn't from 2013.

I mean Gaga better make them holiday promo discounts. That's what people are looking for, specially in the U.S. Plus they better perform Bang Bang or C2C @ Grammys!!! 😒😒

Just take whatever number and source you want. As long as there's no SoundScan equivalent worldwide to track actual album sales (and not be unfairly mixed with shipments), the numbers would always differ. They've always been. It's either you trust a third party source like MediaTraffic, whose popularity is limited to online pop forums, or the numbers released by the labels, which are the ones being published in the mainstream.

Either way, whether it's from UMG or from MediaTraffic, the sales of ARTPOP are nowhere near worthy to be bragged. The difference is small anyway that it's so trivial for a debate, unlike in the case of BTW where the minimum number was at 6M while the maximum was at 8M.

Poor ARTPOP, it is actually one of my favorite albums, i feel bad for all the hate it got

She shares Bang Bang with two other big singers and it's not the type of song that sells. Jessie J has been dissapointing anyway. She betrayed her music for commercial success and generic songs with her last two albums. She deserves to flop.

:trootea:

OMG, so true!! I stan for her on her Alive era, this time i'm so disappointed on her, i don't like her music this era, her 2 singles has been hideous, last week i just canceled my preorder of her album

And honestly, i don't feel bad for her, that was her choice

Will C2C rise with the PBS especial??
