And another thing, I really wish people would quit calling ARTPOP a complete failure. It generated 2 top 10 singles, one stayed in for 14 weeks and another was a promo single (I know it was because of the YouTube awards ad but a top 10 is a top 10). Do What U Want made top 15 for countless weeks and sold nearly 1.2 million copies without a video. Also, the album has sold almost 750,000 copies which almost every album released after it is struggling to do. It's sold nearly 2 million copies worldwide and the tour is selling great despite it "flopping".

It's not a smash legendary era that everyone, including me, is guilty of expecting from Gaga because she had literally 2 of those eras in a row, but it's not a complete failure like people call it. Plus, the album is great and delivered great moments like Gaga's comeback at the VMAs, SwineFest, DWUW AMAs, SNL, The Voice Finale, SXSW, G.U.Y. video, artRave etc. Give it up some credit :nick:

Miss THOSE days

lol I wish I could go back that far to see what the percentage lead was. All I know is the next song was .1 something and no pre-order effect.

Gaga's power back then was INSANE.

Then it all went downhill from Judas onward :rip:

How many weeks was DWUW in the top 20?

10, but it would've gotten so many more without a black out and might have even went top 10 with a video because it was very stable or didn't fall that much

It was in the top 20 for 10 weeks? :omg: I was thinking it was like 3 weeks. :rip: But it only spent 19 weeks on the chart. It only spent 9 weeks outside the top 20?

Sure, you are free to complain and participate, but don't expect no one to point out the inconsistency.

When is the special on PBS again?

I didnt complain nor there was inconsistentcy I just wanted to say how tracking this isnt the same as for example applause and how I want that time back and how I can't wait for new one

Miss THOSE days

I like that C2C is so successful but we aren't directly competing with Taylor or Katy etc.

Back when Applause came out, we thought she was just as big as Katy and Taylor (if not bigger) and it's quite obvious that she isn't anymore.

The initial delusion and realization that Gaga was no longer that big really made us not appreciate Applause for what it achieved.

Now we accept that Gaga isn't as big as acts like Katy so we can appreciate what she's achieving now. And what she's achieving definitely still puts her up there as one of the most successful acts of the decade so far :applause:

Ugh DWUW  :applause:

DWUW spent an unusual amount of time in the Top 20 for a song that never ended up going Top 10 now that I think about it.

Most Top 20 hits, if they don't eventually hit the Top 10, are only present in the Top 20 for a handful of weeks.

i do not agree. obviously in the US no one touches taylor.

but if ARTPOP had the same efforts in as prism their sales would be similar so yeah.

but with c2c and her new team the next era seems really promising

Remember that you are unique. Like everyone else.

It seems that songs that reached the top ten only spend a few weeks in the top 20 on their way down.

I am like 99% sure DWUW would've went top 10 or even top 5 with a video because of the controversy streams and sales  Plus it just needed exposure, it got all the praise from like everyone, people loved it, critics loved it, some hates even had nothing bad to say about it. I always go back to it because it really was the hit, no, the SMASH that got away
