Because in the last report it says ARTPOP has sold 2.3 million WW but I see some people assume it has sold 1.95 million.The 1.95 million figure is an unofficial estimation from MediaTraffic, based from selected official figures from a handful of countries which are publicly known and pure estimations based on the countries' market shares for those which don't publicly release weekly over-the-counter sales. And like all estimations, it could either be over-estimated or under-estimated, leading to the possibility of inaccuracies. And to be fair with the IFPI, the WW album stats they release are referred to as 'total sales'. To say they're 100% shipments is honestly nothing but an assumption out of lack of trust to the labels. And as for the inclusion of streams and track sales, those two (along with album sales) are used for IFPI's newly introduced global recording artists chart, which began last year, not for the global albums chart, at least as of the 2013 report w/c was released last year. Please take this opportunity to request them about the latest sales updates for all Gaga's albums (including Cheek to Cheek) and singles (including Judas, Marry The Night, and G.U.Y - aka the singles which sales are among the least updated) through Chart Beat's Ask Billboard column. I just sent a new e-mail to Billboard's Gary Trust, and I feel like the more requests he'd receive, the more likely he would actually oblige and give us the latest Nielsen Music sales of Gaga.
