Crazy to think we haven't even tracked a full normal pop era in 4 years

From multiple Pop #1s to no pop singles :air:

The Fame impact... I really don't know if one day she'll be as strong as she was during TF / TFM...

He wasn't here tho, i don't remember him when i was lurking the thread, well i might be wrong 'cuz i really don't post here, i only read you & can't remember him in the beginning of the ARTFLOP era

Ive been here since 2009, and yes I was here for ARTTANK.

We tracked Applause staying in the top 10 for 14 weeks back in 2013 and then watched Do What U Want nearly go top 10 without a video. And we watched ARTPOP sell consistently WW for a few weeks before the blackout.

Dont act like the ARTPOP era gave us absolutely nothing. It gave us 6 months of tracking, two amazing music videos, a great tour, and another #1 album for Gaga in the US, the UK, Canada, Japan, etc.

Half of what you said is debatable, and ARTPOP did not sell consistently. "A few weeks" .. That's called frontloaded. And the era was a forgotten disaster of meltdowns, messy performances, bad management, and commercial underperformances.

I guess she could, it's all going to depend on what kind of music she's going to release next. At that time TF / TFM was so innovative. BTW had its success because it was particular in its way. ARTPOP though was mostly EDM while that kind of music was not working anymore...

To me she has to return with something very different and fresh. Something that is going to create a new trend in music, like she did with TF and TFM. And I'm pretty sure Gaga can create new successful, catchy and trendy music again ! :)

I totally agree!!

I think Gaga is going to do this aswell, at first I thought she was going to go acoustic ala Adele but to be really fresh she needs to revolutionise the pop world

Personally I'm here for her making house music popular in the U.S. (it's already huge in Europe) plus she'd be the first huge artist to make house music!

I don't think Gaga can change the pop music landscape again. She managed once because she was the new thing and fresh. Now she's seen as one of the pop girls (more talented than others to be fair).

Isn't dance music kinda dead In pop now? Other than Calvin Harris and Zedd.

I just read the wiki for house music and Lady Gaga and Marry The Night is mentioned in it. Is Marry The Night considered house?
