SomethingMore 1,701
Here are the Jazz categories at the Grammys: Best Improvised Jazz Solo Best Jazz Vocal Album [Tony was never nominated in this] Best Jazz Instrumental Album Best Large Jazz Ensemble Album Best Latin Jazz Album Best Jazz Fusion Performance Best Jazz Vocal Performance, Female [Last year given: 1991] Best Jazz Vocal Performance, Male [Last year given: 1991] Best Jazz Vocal Performance, Duo or Group [Last year given: 1990] Best Original Jazz Composition Best Contemporary Jazz Album Bottom line: C2C will not be nominated in any of the jazz categories, and Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album is the only category it's eligible in (other than the main categories, which are unlikely) You forgot one - Album of the Year
Math 92
since ARTPOP was heavily and majorly produced by DJs, shouldn't it be eligible for the Dance/Electronic categories?

artpopmess 369
With the post Grammy concert they are definetly getting nominations. I also feel that they somehow know this already. Why else do the concert? What does that have to do with it? The album was released in 2014 so it's only eligible for this February's awards since ARTPOP was heavily and majorly produced by DJs, shouldn't it be eligible for the Dance/Electronic categories? Pop girls aren't eligible for these categories don't follow my instagram (trying out reverse psychology)

bumblebee 2,528
Can't believe that MDNA sales = ARTPOP sales MDNA singles numbers = ARTPOP singles numbers (3) Applause alone outsold all of the MDNA singles in the USA, and I am stating it just as a fact, in no way trying to throw shade at Madge's album. Besides, Applause delivered a 14 weeks stay in Billboard Hot 100 Top 10, which is the longest top 10 chart run for a Gaga single since Bad Romance stayed top 10 for 17 weeks. Not to mention that Applause and Do What U Want became the 11th and the 12th top ten entry for Gaga on Pop Songs, so I wouldn't compare ARTPOP singles to the MDNA singles in a way that you did. If you were referring to the worldwide album sales, then yes, sadly, ARTPOP and MDNA performed with the narrowly the same numbers (about 1.8 million for MDNA and around 2.3 million for ARTPOP). However, in the USA ARTPOP is soon to overturn 750,000 copies while MDNA is closer to GOLD status and somewhere near 540,000 copies.
ViviLittleM 3
(For the singles I spoke about the numbers, not the sales) And once again 2.3M for ARTPOP is shipments. Both are at 1.8 1.9M.

bumblebee 2,528
Did ARTPOP actually sell 2.3mil copies ww or is it just shipments? I just used the IFPI report to compare the sales of the two albums. According to IFPI, ARTPOP sold over 2.3 million copies in 2013, but there is actually not many ways for us to find out whether those are actual sales or shipments. There is a Mediatraffic website, which is ususally regarded as the only open sales source for fans, but it's not the most reliable source when it comes to the worldwide sales, and credible magazines like Billboard never use it as a source. (For the singles I spoke about the numbers, not the sales) And once again 2.3M for ARTPOP is shipments. Both are at 1.8 1.9M. There are two reports for both albums. The IFPI report for 2012 stated the 1.8 million sales for MDNA. The IFPI report for 2013 stated 2.3 million sales for ARTPOP. What numbers are you referring to?
