lxdygxga 3,190
Really looking forward to this. On the face of it, X Factor may seem a better idea to people not accustomed with the show, until you factor in that Strictly Come Dancing is currently gaining more viewers than XF, on a wider demographic. Everyone from young children to grandparents enjoy the show, and I think this will be great for Cheek to Cheek.

Harry 26,836
Best UK slot possible for this album. Should definitely get it a new peak.
Sexxx 5,504
Why does Simon Cowell not like Gaga? Would have thought he'd appreciate true talent, even if she's a bit odd. They adore each other
StrawberryBlond 13,836
YESSSSS! This is one of the best promo slots she could've gotten in the UK! When it started out, Strictly was only viewed by the middle aged/elderly demographic, it had only a few million viewers and X Factor was still the #1 show on Saturday night. But as the years went on, the show became bigger and better and now it's got fans of every age group, is a regular family night staple and frequently gets ratings of around the 9-11 million mark per episode and has been the most watched show on British tv for the last few years, eclipsing X Factor in the ratings every week. Actually, last year, the X Factor live final was watched by just over 10 million whereas the Strictly final was watched by over 12 million. This is the best audience she could get due to the huge numbers of the mature demographic watching. That's why classical and jazz acts like Andre Rieu and Micheal Buble are usually scheduled and their album sales always go shooting up after they perform. The winner of season 2 of The Voice UK only did one promo spot for her album and it was on Strictly and because of that, her album debuted at #7. Nothing that amazing, you might think...until you factor in the previous year's winner did no promo and her album couldn't even get in the top 100. So, Strictly promo was the difference between a top ten album and not charting at all. And this combo of Gaga and Tony is a winner. This Bobby Campbell is already proving to be worth his weight in gold due to his understanding of and attention to the UK market, something that Troy never seemed to grasp. gagaconvert 68
YESSSSS! This is one of the best promo slots she could've gotten in the UK! Without a doubt! Jazz is the perfect sort of music for Strictly too. I'm so excited for this!

Spartacus 4,485
I'm so happy to see all this promo! ARTPOP didn't have any cuz Gaga was pissed at Troy! Poor ARTPOP thrown under the bus. -𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐅𝐀𝐌𝐄 𝐄𝐍𝐈𝐆𝐌𝐀™
Cruelty 5,887
Just for some comparison for non-UK peoples: 1. These are overnight ratings - ie the actual amount of people sitting down to watch the show - from last month, on the same night (September 7). Strictly was in the lead, although admittedly, it was the premiere of Strictly. Strictly Come Dancing 8.4m average The X Factor 7.0m average 2. Strictly's 2013 series averaged 10.71 million viewers per episode, which was a 40.7% average audience share. The X Factor UK's 2013 series averaged 8.16 million viewers per episode, which was a 34.5% average audience share.
TMC 64
AMAZING!!! Every one discusses 'strictly' on Monday at work... So pleased the majority of the uk TV viewers will see her and Tony!! The performance needs to be slick.

Levine 21,413
From @TvRatingsUk #StrictlyComeDancing was yesterday's most watched with 9.06m/43.3%, up 880k on last week. #TheXFactor drew 7.32m/32.1%, down 530k. I know she'll perform on Sunday, but the ratings between Sat and Sun are not so different. On october 19th the competition will be more close to the finale and the ratings will be huge. Poor Simon. Poor everyone.
