the world is so huge outside the US and only 71k people cared enough to buy the album? :awkney:

In most places torrenting and pirating in general is super easy and people never get caught.

Also who would care about jazz like cmon its Jazz and its 2014.

Need I reming you this is jazz?

With Tony Bennett?

And major acts are struggling to scrap 150K let alone 200K.

#1 WW  And over 200k omg this is just awesome :excited:

You're joking right? POP albums sell like 250-300k WW by major acts lately because album sales are horrible and you complain when a jazz album sells +200k...

Lmao you actually need to sit down for awhile before assuming I'm coming for Gaga.

Asia alone is bigger than the United States, that and combined with the UK and the rest of the world, 71,000 is just very strange. It's almost as if music only exists in the U.S. And no, I'm not coming for Gaga or any other pop acts, if anything, I'm coming for the rest of the world that seems to be asleep.

nothing important. it was just "sells 202,000" instead of "with 202,000 copies sold!"

Well yeah, but I kinda thought you were "complaining" about this number when everyone has a hard time selling their album and I'm talking about all genres rn...

Sorry, didn't mean to attack you or anything like that

It's okay.

It's just really strange, across the music industry it's like the term "worldwide" isn't really worldwide but just U.S + maybe some other small sales here and there.

Exactly, that is the main problem with music industry = no one wants to spend their money when they can just download it for free, just hard stans/fans and maybe some with a lot of money...

:awkney:

Sales depend on the sales climate market and the genre of the music, not which is bigger and which is not. The US is a bigger music market than Asia, Oceania and Latin America combined for instance.
