This woman literally reached for the stars and threw a hail mary pass to the endzone and she got picked off and Gaga is running it back for her own touchdown. I understand trying to regain some of the money lost fighting the case, and I understand the importance of deterring others but she doesn't have 1.4 million and Gaga is doing alright for herself. Make her pay a smaller sum that isn't going to financially destroy her and her family. Surely they can work out a sum that she can actually pay, a sum that is of great expense to her, but isn't completely crippling. If they rule in Gaga's favor, I'm very sure they will make the fine much less than that. Why they did specifically for 1.4m? Idk, but a judge certainly wouldn't rule something that excessive for someone who has probably never even seen a quarter of that at one time in her life.
