US Economy Grows At FASTEST Rate Since 2011

Well at least people there love homos-xuals and not kill/forbid them like in some countries. That's lame people make publicity of their skin or s-xuality but I guess that's the reverse of the medal.

Strange to read when I made my search that Ontario was the most important economic place in Canada like you are the 20th economy power in the world alone.

What do you think make your economy lagging?

Well Ontario has the most population thats why we have the largest economy in Canada. Over 30% of Canadas population lives in Ontario

But in terms of GDP Per Capita (wealth per citizen) there are other Provinces that are much richer such as Alberta, Saskatchwean, British Columbia...

Ontario is more or less average in economic status such as unemployment and GDP Per Capita. Were neither among the richest in the Country or the poorest. We do have one of the worst finances in the Country tho

And part of the reason were lagging is the Canadian Dollar temporarily surged at a bad time (during the recession) when investors saw Canada as a safe heaven. Most exporters and manufacturing companies couldnt handle weak demand from a recession AND a high currency at the same time and we lost a lot of plants and factories that shut down

The richer Western part of Canada is more resource based (Oil, Natural Gas, Coal, Forestry, Potash, Uranium, Copper etc etc etc). So they werent as affected.

Ontario has a few precious metals such as zinc, nickel and copper but thats about it. Manufacturing is our most important component and we took a real beating because of its weakness

But Ontarios policies dont help either cause we regulate too much in my opinion :shrug:

You mean too much immigration while speaking about regulate I guess... Well In France it's kind of the same and it's lame. I'm a son of the immigration too but I would be the first to say this is just too much, and 78% of french people thinks the same but government just goes on and on.

 

Very interresting to read the things about Canadian economics *-* about your ressources and other. You might have that socialist government that should govern less to begin to govern well. I can tell you in my country it's the same, there are just no real work, everyone goes to the university (paid by the state) for like 7 years and struggle to find a job, beginning to work very late and for underwhelmed jobs that make a lot of people sad. We just need to move all our *bip* and begin to work for ourselves and create wealth but it's like... no one move! and me the first... *pity* *koons*

 

Well i'm lying there're work but it's like 30-40% are real work and those people are really working for the rest of the population...

 

I'm happy to live in this country cause it's a rich one but at the same time there's a depression stuff, everyone's like...ouuuh bad situation here, I should try to move...

yeah i know about France issues. I been following up on the Eurozone crisis. Mr Holland has some ideas i dot agree with. I dont think this too much of an immigrant issue tho. With the develop worlds issue of aging population and slow growing labor force if anything you want a lot of immigration

And Canada really isnt that socialist over-all anymore. We have one of the lowest Corporate, Investment and general business taxes in the developed world.

Weve also had a right winged Conservative Government since 2006 cutting soending gradually and lowering taxes

I was speaking about Ontarios Government specifically

And Canada is a large Country and the economy varies greatly from one area to the other so its hard forthe Federal Government to do as much as in many Countries so Provinces have been given a lot of power and influence

So the Government each individual Province elects is a big deal also...

Almost 40% of taxes and spending are Provincial and the other 60% Federal. Some Provinces including my own even have plans to start their own supplement retirement fund :shrug:
