VFD 57
Actually, there's no reason to be extra excited since she's in no way stating that her future work will consist of mostly pop music. In fact, she seems to be implying the opposite, or at least that pop will not be her definitive "genre" anymore. I agree, that's what I gather from her recent comments when asked about returning to pop. I think it has always been clear that she won't just abandone pop music, but lately she seems much more keen to trying new things. She doesn't say "Don't worry, I'll go back to pop soon enough!". She's saying that she still has a lot of time and will eventually continue with pop music, which will probably be in the near feature anyway. However, it's strange to think about this woman who used to be all about pop culture, who even made her latest record about art and pop, to suddenly entertain so prominently the idea of exploring new genres. It'll definitely be interesting, and I'm excited regardless. :)
VFD 57
Im not putting presure on her But damn she seems to hate pop and the industry SO BAD , like saying that she couldnt use her real and full voice and sht like that, i mean applause accoustic on sukkiri and some others already show her amazing voice , i dont get it. She should stfu and let her jazz speak for itself tbh , no need to put her pop work down. :koons: She doesn't hate pop music. She probably realized after a very long time how wonderful it must be to record freely, without so many creative restraints. Gaga has ALWAYS a hard time when it comes to her music. Since The Fame. Out of my mind, here are some examples: -The scene in Paparazzi where she's wearing crouches. -The start of The Monster Ball Tour. -Bad Romance (the song) -The Alejandro video -Born This Way (the single) -Born This Way (the entire album) -ARTPOP (the album) -And many more, and there's probably others we will never know about. She's been fighting for over 7 years. That's why I truly believe she feels the happiest right now, with Cheek To Cheek. And with such a legend, Tony Bennett! This is truly a special time. And lastly, I disagree about "letting the music speak for itself". It's a bit boring when artists do not talk much about their records, IMO. It is much more exciting listening to him or her talking about the creative process. Even if it means "overhyping it" (which I believe, the concept is bull****) or breaking promises (such as the app or unreleased songs).
