Every producer has stuff sitting around for the right project. I don't know why some if you have such an issue with this. Every songwriter on the planet has partially finished ideas sitting around.

Everyone talking about "recycled instrumentals" ...

This is generally how music production works. The producers create tracks that they keep and when they have the opportunity to work with a recording artist they share them. Rarely are ALL aspects of a song crafted at one time. I'll take that Gaga writes the majority of everything from scratch and the most that gets used are the production beats and instrumentals compared to most recording artists that get everything provided and go in to record their own vocal to replace the demo vocal that was already recorded to show them how to sing it.

Exactly. Gaga isn't a producer, she's a songwriter. She may be actively involved in the song's production, as she was with Venus, or write a song based off an already existing instrumental, which was the case with MJH. It's not like she's using exactly what the song was before, she's adding her own spin on it. Not to mention the lyrics.

NewYorkCity

that doesn't make them bad songs tho. for me donatella, mjh and aura are one of the best tracks on ARTPOP. definitely standouts

as I said, I love the song. I love Donatella even more, and Aura is EPIC.

It is just that I find it weird, it's not gonna make me love the songs less

I'm honestly happy that they did mjh instead of can't beat the machines , it has a better sound and Idk it just seems so much more ethereal to me👌

...but can't beat the machines is a more interesting concept IMO

So... another recicled instrumental...

Don't get me wrong, the song is amazing but... having recordered so many songs and one of them being Brooklyn Nights, I don't get why we have an album of 15 tracks with 3 of them not being original productions.

After taking two years of break...

These things just upset me. I know I will forget about it in a few hours tho :toofunny:

Governemnt Hooker was also a older DJWS track...it's not really recycling

I love Mary Jane Holland and Can't Beat The Machines :legend: We need more Madeon/Gaga tracks :messga:

I've personally never had a problem with instrumental recycling, Gaga's done a lot of it throughout her career and it's not a bad thing.

It is an original instrumental. Gaga listened the original audio and wrote a song on that sound and shaped the final instrumetnal as well. Guys, there is not only one way to write a song, this is what you don't get.
