I understand that she's a Catholic/stems from Catholic roots, but I wouldn't mind an album in which she deconstructs the effects of religion (not just Judeo-Christian, but I think that'd be a good place to base) on society, and how it affects are future as a people (the positives and negatives of faith, how the imposition of religion drives certain aspects of our social system, government, etc).

She kind of touched on that in Born This Way, particularly with Bloody Mary, but in a more metaphorical sense- she utilized the metaphor of Mary Magdalene (and, as I see it, the Virgin Mary) and her relationship with Jesus Christ/the collective religion as a metaphor for the duality between reality and fantasy as a metaphor for Gaga herself as the pop star and her relationship with the fans/collective fan and celebrity culture.

Much better than "the Poker Face singer", lbr.

THIS. THIS would be so ****ing cool. Bloody Mary is one of my favorite songs lyrically. If she pulled off that kind of theme for a whole album I'd be here for it all day every day.

I think it would be hilarious but doubt it would ever happen. However, I FIRMLY believe Katy Perry will do it once her star fades some and I also could see Mariah doing a Soul/Christian album next!

Katy is now a spiritual person and I think she practices new age. I doubt that she'll ever do a Christian/gospel album ever again.

She already did that with Born This Way.

Bloody Mary was playing on the Christian Rock stations, like Jesus said.

Just now realized this thread was bumped from 2014. :smh:

But we seem to be having a legitimate discussion.

Number ones in what genre? Christian Rock? Lol Yeah...that genre sells very little and they have a small listening audience on radio.

I know you aren't serious, but didn't know if people know how small that genre is, when compared to the more popular genres on radio.

Anyway...no way is Gaga ever going to do this.

Well, you can say that the early Evanescence is a christian rock band, even if they have denied it, and I love their stuff.. I would be here for something like that..

..And it's not like Gaga hasn't used religion in her music before.. :lolgaga:

They say it's the last song. They don't know us, you see. It's only the last song if we let it be.
