After ARTPOP I really don't know.... but it's never impossible to get a hit album when you have her amazing voice.

I don't know. Album sales keep dwindling every year, so I would need to know the future sales climate and listen to the lead single at the very least. I think her name alone could merit at least 150K, which is what Maroon 5 opened with without a big hit. However, if she waits too long things could significantly lower unless she has an amazing lead single.

Same. I feel like she hasn't had a proper strong lead single since TF and TFM. I don't want to "one of those" nostalgia fans, but this is one of few things I probably agree with them on. I was definitely underwhelmed by both BTW and Applause on first listen. If I didn't end up enjoying the albums they were on I probably wouldn't still keeping up with her, or even be on this forum, so I can see why casual fans of her previous eras would have moved on by now. Most people move quick and are impatient, so they aren't going to give a whole album a chance in this day and age before writing it off because of a single they don't like (of course Bey and her visual album are the obvious exception because of the surprise release). Once again, I think it illustrates why the first single has to be great, or at least an earworm.
