Personally i'm not that bothered with the promoting campaign as much as the content it endorses . However, if Gags' next album turns out to be with rock-related material the promo has to be better planned and targeted undoubtedly if the main point is to make it BIG in terms of sales (which I'm not quite sure Gags wants to do, I think she's just about making music rather than fulfilling someone's hopes). So yeah all in all it's her management team's job to spread the word for the album appropriately.

no. ARTPOP had loads of promo, I seriously don't get how yall don't see that. 

VMAs, AMAs, The Voice, SNL, loads of Radio appearances, on GMA twice, a Youtube Awards performance, which sent to basically every Youtube user an email telling them to watch the performance (which led Dope to the top 10 due to streaming but STILL barely sold afterwards), The X Factor UK,  500 billboards used all over the world with the cover featured on it. STOP. The problem with ARTPOP was obviously not the promo, 

 

EDIT: The promo was great up to december, I agree afterwards it got bad. And the only wrong step in promo was not releasing the DWUW video.

It's so frustrating though because this is the first time we truly have no idea what the **** is going on with the next album. She was already teasing the fame monster after her original success with the fame, and was teasing born this way and you and I on the monster ball tour. And even after btw was released we got the title ARTPOP, princess die, stache and fashion teases during the BTWBall. It just feels weird that she has completely left things open.

But perhaps she has given us the title and we don't know it yet.

Exactly. People around me at university were stanning hard for that song, I had never seen anything like it before. Some of them were even like "Damn, I love that new R. Kelly song with that chick", like.... They weren't even aware this was a Gaga song.

I assume G.U.Y. was more of a way of ending the era correctly, rather than an attempt to revive the era. Gaga's focus at that point was getting ready for the artRAVE.

Look at the promo for Cheek to Cheek, it had so much promo, Gaga and Tony were on every poster, billboard, newspaper, magazine, tv show, internet ad, commercial, everything you could imagine.... It was EVERYWHERE!

 

But Cheek to Cheek was just a jazz album..

 

Just imagine how much promo her next mainstream pop album is gonna get!

 

Take the Cheek to Cheek promo and multiply it by 100, thats how much promo i think her next album is gonna get.

Im not hyped at all. Remember she aims for Classic rock and that probably will come along with simplicity. ARTPOP era was already like that. She promotes C2C so hard because she is excited to work with Tony
