elijahfan 26,046
Fear of Gaga? she's laughing about all of this. MDNA mostly discusses either generic typical pop song topics or about her ex husband and how mad she is (Love Spent, Gang Bang...etc) I'm not talking about the lyrics, but the production. Elton John specifically went after her about it, saying that instead of doing her own thing, she deliberately went after Gaga's style. We could argue about this for days, and it's obviously a sensitive subject over here. I'm just trying to be a realistic fan. The times when Madonna used to set the trends are behind - now she keeps bandwagoning on every trend, seemingly in an attemps to stay "in". I wish she flipped up the game the way she used to. Now, the one who flips up the game is Gaga. And Madge knows it.
ClapDown 0
The email Rep: Madonna Never Emailed Lady Gaga About 'Born This Way' Earlier this week, the singer told Jay Leno that the Material Girl approved her new single, which some critics called a rip-off of Madonna’s “Express Yourself.†"I got an e-mail from her people and her, sending me their love and complete support on behalf of the single and if the queen says it shall be, then it shall be,†Gaga said. But Madonna's rep has told CNN’s Headline News Entertainment that she is unaware of any email that Madonna has sent. http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/rep-madonna-never-emailed-lady-100361
Houdini 103
Just the way she acts and can't sweep the gaga thing under the bridge Even recently with those alleged lyrics about gaga it doesn't stop already confirmed false so stop lol
elijahfan 26,046
WHAT left to prove? She's the highest selling female artist of all time and the highest grossing solo touring artist of all time. She's had more top ten Billboard hits than any other artist ever. She's in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. She's one of the most iconic, important people of the 20th century. Even if she were never to make music again, Madonna would still be remembered and revered for her incredible legacy and impact. Sure. But when you put new music out, you ought to sell it. Was Madonna's legacy of much help to sell the MDNA singles? ;)

Psychedelic 1,098
Totally wrong. I personally feel as though Gaga was hurt over it all a while ago (some of the stuff being said angered me so much, she must have struggled so much - but now I don't think she really cares. Madonna uses Gaga's name for promo these days. Gaga's just too nice to call her out on it because Madonna's a legend - the media will always side with her. Well it's not like Madonna created all of this on her favor, the media were stirring the pot long before Madonna even released MDNA, and when she did, the press was also all over herself asking her about Gaga... So I would say that Madonna only took advantage of the situation that the media put her and Gaga through in smarter way than Gaga did. Madonna used it for publicity, while for Gaga, she clearly felt aggravated.

He's the same man who constantly accuses Madonna of lip syncing and has called her "a f------ fairground stripper" and "a huge c---".

ClapDown 0
She also earned $125 million in 2012 making her the highest paid celebrity in the world that year and the most any female pop star's ever earned in one year.

I'm also using my ears ;) You guys seem to forget that I'm a massive Madonna fan. I've been a fan since I was 8 years old, and beyond that, I'm ****ing glad I'm still able to forge a realistic opinion about her recent work - that I'm a fan of by the way, I don't think MDNA is half as bad as anyone seems to say. Is it as innovative as some of her past work though? That's another story. look at MDNA tour numbers, now you can see her legacy's impact I know, I've attended it Of course, in a concert you can expect her legacy to be honored and the people will be there for it. But are people there for entirely new material from her? Now THAT was my point.
