Is the artRave messy?

Sorry, but i don't exactly agree with the 'you can't judge it if you haven't seen it live'. Of course, you have to see it live to make a better statement, but we didn't have to experience the Monster Ball to see it was an amazing show.

At the beginning, it was a bit messy as well, but ever since the beginning it had the 'wow' and 'surprise' effect or factor that made us falling in love with Gaga. The ArtRave just lacks of that. Let's face it. It is a good show though, but mainly because of Gaga's energy and exceptional skills to perform and pull off a show.

I can't @ people saying you can't form an opinion based on YT videos.

Look, concerts will ALWAYS be better in real life than in videos. That doesn't take away the fact that you can form an opinion of videos based on experience and comparison with videos of concerts you did go to. Anyone with half a brain knows that YT videos don't have the audio quality of actually being there.

Having said that, for me...

Monster Ball 1 (attended) > Absolutely amazing, beautiful, interesting, controversial.

Monster Ball 2 (attended) > Annoyed off my ass because she was being a b!tch to the audience (idk why).

BTW Ball (not attended) > Looks fantastic. Great ideas, great props, daring, controversial.

ARTPOP Ball (not attended, and not going) > Boring monotonous dance mess.

I prefer artistic ideas, outfits and songs to the standard sing-and-dance. I just don't care for simple fun stuff without substance. It can be nice to listen to, but I'm not spending money going to an average experience.

nope

my fav tour :omgexcited:

Absolutely not.

I loved it so much. Live is a fantastic experience. Easily the best concert I've ever attended. The stage is marvelous.

my opinions exactly

I totally agree.

The Monster Ball is still my favorite because of the imagery (those interludes!) and overall feel it gave me, but artRAVE is without a doubt the most FUN. The energy in the crowd is so positive and exciting, it's a nice concert to have after the the Monster Ball and the Born This Way Ball. I like that she switches it up. :)

Can anyone please tell me which songs have been shortened? I know about Aura, Judas and now Sexxx Dreams, and it's starting to piss me off. :miley:

ARTPOP, G.U.Y., Venus, MANiCURE, Bad Romance, Applause and Gypsy are the only ones that hasn't been shortened  :flop:

Pure Adrenaline

artRave fucing slays ..... just because MB was done when Gaga was at her peak doesn't mean it was superior

as a show it slay, the only problem I could find is the shortage of songs and the lack of dancing but BTWB was even worse in those 2 aspects tbh

It's much more fun to have hizophrenia... u never get lonely

After being to both the artRAVE and the btwb, myself as well as my mother and my sister who also went to both all think that the btwb was much more messy. All together the btwb live was kind of hard to follow and a little confusing because there was literally so much going on.

We all enjoyed the artRAVE a lot more, because it was more cohesive and more simple.

The one thing about the artRAVE that may have made it slightly messy was the audio not being amazing. But all in all I wouldnt say that the artRAVE is messy at all.

You can form an opinion, but the artRAVE is one of the first concerts I've been to where what I got was totally not what I expected after seeing the videos and hearing about it.

The feelings I got from watching Monster Ball videos and Born This Way Ball videos were the same feelings I got while I was at the show. They were more intense at the show, but none of how I felt was unexpected. The videos did a good job of capturing what the show was really like to BE there.

But the artRAVE....the videos do NOT capture what it's like to be there. You can get an opinion about the show from a purely visual experience, but actually being NEAR the catwalks while she walks by, SEEING the lights, dancing with everyone, FEELING the energy, happiness, and excitement- those weren't things that were captured by the videos.

I'll also say that I still think the Monster Balls were the best and nothing she's done since then tour wise has even come CLOSE to their greatness (although the construction and use of the BTWB castle is close to being tied).

I'd have to respectfully disagree. While I see where you're coming from, I've been to enough concerts and compared my personal experience to the YT videos to judge whether I will like it or not in real life. :P

I honestly believe none of her tours are messy. Maybe when they were on their first date, but that's normal.

The only complaintss I have are the song shortening and the Aura & Just Dance medley outfits.
