She was a Comedian. Hilarious and vitriolic. She really spoke her mind and never let it waver. I respect her so much even though I dislike her for many hateful, hurtful things she has said over the years. No one can deny her legacy. She will live on with it. Rest in Peace.

Some guest on her show from way back (I don't know which show) said this about being on.  It was pretty funny.  He was so nervous being interviewed by Joan because of her known one-liners that he sprayed deodorant in his eye before going on and they had to call a doctor.  He said she was very sweet.  But he watched her interview Lucille Ball while there and here's what he said about watching that interview.  I don't know why, but this moved me.

"But, in reality, Joan was not the Queen Bitch she liked the public to believe she was. At the time of my encounter with her, I watched her conducting a nightmarish television interview with the legendary Lucille Ball.
On this occasion, there was nothing much to love about Lucy. She was visibly drunk, rude, offhand and dismissive towards Rivers. Joan, keeping her voice gentle and her face warm and sympathetic, showed no sign of noticing the great star’s hostility.

I expressed my astonishment at Ball’s behaviour and asked Joan: ‘Why were you so nice to her when she was really horrible to you?’
Her face softened and assumed an entirely different character from the acerbic and abrasive diva the public usually saw. ‘Honey,’ she said, ‘Lucy battles the demons of depression and I’ve been there myself. She’s made a lot of people laugh during her not very happy life. I think we owe her, don’t you?"

She was very entertaining. I couldn't count how many times she has made me and basically everyone I know forget our problems even just for a while. She's a comedy legend. Her bluntness, silliness, and the happy aura of hers will surely be greatly missed. May she rest in peace. Condolences to her loved ones.

Honestly, I got so sad when I heard about her passing. And now, I'm watching videos of her funniest moments. And I feel so much better. I can litterally hear her voice in my head "What are you crying about you stupid s*it? Death is something I'm happy about. I never have to worry about having insurance ever again."

Oh my gosh. She's actually gone. I was never a huge fan, but it feels so weird knowing that she's...gone. May she rest in peace.  :(

I'm not getting any sleep tonight because I woke up to a beautiful life. I'm awake.

I cried watching the E! channel today as they talked about it. Not so much about her death, but I empathized with how sad the anchors were and two of them cried a bit.
