JaysAMess 27,843
Lana is the perfect choice to do a Bond theme song.
Dangerous Man 9,245
I don't really see Sam doing this although he is talended. "A little less conversation and a little more touch my body."
SonOfAphrodite 1,838
^^^ knows whats up. Lana would take it seriously and knock it out of the ballpark. She has just the right vibe for it... and they could even make her... a Bond girl

Dangerous Man 9,245
Lana. Lana. Lana. They had just removed the lana emote. :teehee: "A little less conversation and a little more touch my body."
StrawberryBlond 14,914
Sam Smith? Why, just why? If that's the most soulful voice that we can produce of recent times, we're in serious trouble. I find his voice really drippy and whiney, no power in it at all. Lana ticks all the boxes for a Bond theme. Ever since her debut, I thought it would be a travesty if she was never approached to do a Bond theme. I mean, Million Dollar Man is practically a Bond theme in and of itself. She can do the next one and then Gaga can do the next. Hopefully, showing her jazz chops to the world will prove she's truly capable of doing this. I mean, Amy Winehouse (before she died) and Adele were approached for a theme and neither of them possessed Gaga's vocal range and clarity (yes, I said it). Lana would be perfect for the job and yes I'm stanning, but I can't believe she even has to compete with the likes of Sam Smith. Once Upon A Dream and Young And Beautiful are more soulful than anything he has ever done and those aren't even her best songs imo. His output is generic and he is just a trend, but I wouldn't be surprised if he got the job because of that. I'm sure I will be dragged, but that's okay. I don't know if I agree when it comes to Gaga, her voice is too broadway and dominating for me to personally endorse it being used in a film. I think Lana's voice suits film moreso because it isn't so in your face. I mean Aura went good with Matchete Kills, so I guess it's possible. I guess it really comes down to the scene(s). I would pick Gaga for theatre and Lana for film. Omg I thought it was koons that replaced it. Mess. Well :koons: is flawless, :thirst: is wack. :koons:

Most Bond singers are women and their songs tend to be the best. I don't see Sam Smith outdoing the likes of Matt Monro or Tom Jones. The committee who decide on who should sing these themes seem too focused on giving them to the latest trend now instead of the person who is honestly suited for the theme. Lana is the kind of girl Bond sleeps with, for crying out loud, she should get a theme by default. I know Gaga's voice may not be everyone's first choice, but I honestly think that she could be awesome at a Bond theme. Listen to her live acoustic of Americano when she debuted it at the end of the Monster Ball. That deep, foreboding tone in which she tried to channel Edith Paif screams "Bond theme." And I can't wait to hear her rendition of Nature Boy, Every Time We Say Goodbye and Bang Bang on Cheek To Cheek. That will show a whole new side to her as we're not used to hearing her sing melancholy tunes. And I think it'll prove she has the capability for a Bond theme. If Lana was an actress too she would be perfect to star in a Bond movie. I will check out that performance of Americano, I haven't heard it before. Gaga is a great singer, but so far on Cheek To Cheek she has sang too strong for me. Idk, she is doing a great job with Cheek To Cheek, but it just hasn't been for me. I'm not trying to say she shouldn't do a Bond song, I'm just not sold on the idea yet.
