Sky-Rise buildings all over North America are well... On the rise... It is the case in almost every major city Exept Toronto which has finally began a decline from a peak of 147 two years ago...

Sky-Scrappers under Construction or approved as of 2014:

Toronto: 130

New York: 91

Calgary: 88

Mexico City: 81

Chicago: 56

The boom is real :gaga:

lol thats for sure

But i was giving numbers for NA specifically since construction has been soft particularly in the US

I actually went to Toronto this weekend and thays what got me interested in looking this up. There were cranes EVERYWHERE!!! Every street even remotely close to the city core had some condo being built or some business building and all of them large!!!

I follow skyscraper growth all the time (it's the only other forum I regularly check besides GGD)

Put this into perspective

NY currently has 6 buildings over 300 meters (making it a supertall)

3 more currently under construction

And 10 more are scheduled to be finished by 2020

Chicago, Houston, Los Angeles, and Atlanta all have at least one completed 300m building

Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Toronto, Seattle, Miami, and Philadelphia all have at least one 300m building proposed or under construction.
