She has made the biggest hits in the world and is unique as a popster with her eccentric looks and therefore hard to be replaced. DWUW could've easily been her comeback if the controversial music video had been released, it would however have gotten a similar reaction that Anaconda had with lots of people talking about her and huge video views however also damaging her integrity for future projects such as C2C. Because gaga is so unique in what she does I believe she can definitely have a huge comeback without trying to be controversial or having her musical freedom taken away as some people may suggest. People are still here for the Lady Gaga name, with an era considered as a flop the album still sold considerably well! All she needs is for her next album to have the management up to the standard she deserves with music up to the standard that she has made in the past and she will definitely have huge success. I feel like people forget how unique Lady Gaga is, no one makes music videos or tours like she does, no other popster wears the fashion she does and very few pop stars can sing in as many different genres as she does. People act like ARTPOP was a tragedy and so many people are done with her when its not really like that. Applause did amazingly well with longevity compared to her past singles and DWUW was a successful song (I'm speaking on behalf of the UK). Radio stations here still play DWUW a lot. Gaga's problem was promotion and management. Applause in the UK was poorly promoted, then we had the Venus/DWUW mess which confused everyone. GP didn't know whether it was Venus or DWUW for next single. Then for G.U.Y. we got nothing, no countries got any promotion for that. Next era, if she has a lot of promotion like she did with BTW then she could be a huge success again. Releasing 4 albums in the span of 5-6 years is pretty over saturating. I think a significant break (3+ years) will give the GP a real reason to miss her and what she brings to pop music, especially since the current pop scene seem to be moving in a really boring direction atm in which gaga dosent really fit in anywhere. It will also give her time to reconstruct her image, really plan and execute an immaculate new era and wait for that next big single to come to her. As much as I love ARTPOP, it just didnt have an instant relate-able smash hit like Bad Romance, which is what she really needed to win back the GP. All in all, I have great faith and trust that gaga will sustain these roadbumps, because unlike alot of popstars, she's got an immense amount of talent, and a core die hard following that will be with her through thick and thin. ummm that doesnt always work out.
