XoXoJoanneGaga 629
My friends were asking me what happened to Gaga as far back as 2012, when she went on her media blackout. I think it's a good thing in a way, people remember her and are ready for her comeback. ARTPOP was not that album and was never going to be, the horrible promo campaign/era was kind of a blessing cause if the general public was conscious of it they probably would have been turned off her for good. MelbHawker 6,583
She's slaying on a WorldWide Tour coming off 2 million + selling ARTPOP, and is about to blow the world away with a Jazz Album collaboration with legend Tony Bennett. No big deal. Appearing at fixed awards shows don't mean you 'died'.
VforVendetta 2,024
sales were good==sales being proportional to the amount of promo Selling only 250k during the opening week of AP and having Applause peak at #4 with that much promo is ridiculous. Ignorance. During the debut week Applause was rush-released, The song got more sales on it's second week. Also a lot of promo =/= effective promo. Also a lot of promo =/= effective promo. uhm where did I lie? did i ever say it wasn't rush released? I only said it PEAKED at #4 which is true. Please, if you're gonna start saying I'm ignorant please check what you're talking about first and no matter how ineffective the promo isn't even the discussion's point
Noah Fatale 72
shes not a relevant anymore with the gp and theres monsters in denial who need to realize that :trootea: during the applause era she was still a bit relevant, she was making her comeback, there was lots of promo and it was organized and a nice era. then troy left and everything went downhill from there.. MonsterMum 2,532
Basically the Queen is still on their minds and VMA was a snoozefest without Gaga.

Please, if you're gonna start saying I'm ignorant please check what you're talking about first and no matter how ineffective the promo isn't even the discussion's point It actually is, a high peak comes from an effective release. The promo was a mess and the sales of Applause were shattered because of a rush-release and the Katy Perry comparisons. We can't turn back time now but there is no reason to forget some facts. shes not a relevant anymore with the gp and theres monsters in denial who need to realize that :trootea: And then who was wondering where she was? ReRe 1,957
Even after all the big names who attended last night's show, the GP still calls for the true queen.

PopBitch 1,218
it really is quite sad how bad she's fell monsters can be in denial all they want but she has flopped and people are over her. Her popularity has declined compared to recent eras and many have lost interest. That can't be denied if objective. But how can you remotely call her flopping, though, when she plays to large venues and sold a couple of million albums? She got some good reviews on her album and some not so good, but it wasn't panned at all when you average out the reviews. It averaged out decent, not great. I don't think you know what the term flopping means. That's just too harsh and not true. She didn't even come close to flopping. IIt will be interesting to see if the decline in sales continues or she stays steady and/or rebounds. Christina Aguilera is flopping when her last two albums big-time flopped and she canceled a tour after Bionic because there wasn't enough interest and backed out using another excuse. That's flopping.
