Muh 144
bye I'm not excited nor looking forward to this at all. Bitch, your first Jazz album hasn't even come out yet and you're already planning on doing a sequel? The only continuation I want from you is the Telephone sequel and The Fame: Part Two
DanceInTheFlames 154
Not like it took that much time out if Gaga's regular schedule to make Cheek to Cheek. So I'm totally here for this 110%. I don't need another pop album before the typical two years.
Nemo 4,291
So, what with all the meltdowns, no one's talking about the interesting bit: the title "Red, Hot and Blue", and the fact that it's a Cole Porter collection. As I hope some of you know, Red, Hot + Blue was an AIDS benefit album in 1990, featuring Cole Porter songs recorded by pop stars of the day. It spawned a ton of sequels under the "Red Hot +" brand, and in fact, the organization is still going to this day. I assume this new album is not intended to be part of that series... which is interesting.
Benji 20,113
You have no idea what a majority of Gaga's fans want or what they may end up enjoying. All you are seeing is the overreaction of a few on a forum that doesn't represent her entire fanbase. You definitely have no idea who will stick around and who won't, here or in her actual real world fanbase. Many fans think Gaga's career now is amazing. If you are only basing your expectations on her "early career", you are probably never going to get that back. You don't have to pretend to love or even like anything! Who would do that and she wouldn't even want that? You are right...Life is WAY TOO SHORT to waste time on someone you are hoping will come back...when they have moved on, evolved, have different priorities and are doing things that are making you miserable. You already know what is coming over the next few months...stop waiting! Well considering her innovative, powerful and clever pop music is what created her fanbase, it's pretty easy to see that the fanbase will continue to dwindle if she stops making what the audience she has liked her originally for. I'm talking about her going down a genre route with the same tank of petrol she filled up from making pop music. She's yet to create a loyal fanbase of fans who specifically like her for jazz covers, we've heard three studio recordings and a few live videos. She's got the voice for it but we have no indication of whether or not anyone other than her die hard fans are interested in this album, sure Tony's fans will back it but will anyone else care? She's releasing a jazz album in a world revolving primarily around dance and 'rock'. I personally don't care for numbers, sales, fans etc but if she's going to do jazz then make an album of something more interesting than a few covers. Write something interesting Gaga, show us you can actually make a jazz album over just having a voice for it. I'm still a fan and I'm going to ride these... 'interesting' times out for now but the future is unpredictable, especially when it comes to Gaga so I'm okay with waiting and supporting until I dislike what she's doing. thatfoxyfeeling 13,006
I'd prefer another Jazz album by herself with original songs or not at all. I really don't think TB is big globally so if she was to collab with anyone it should be. Michael Bublé.
nikola 4,342
this is.kind confirming her departure from pop... no i dont think so and no one really sad that she will not relise pop album before new jazz one and maybe she is making break from pop (i think it bad move but what can i do) I've got an "F" and a "C" and I got a "K" too And the only thing that is missing is a bitch like "U"
DanceInTheFlames 154
You guys are ridiculous. She's literally touring ARTPOP while promoting Cheek to Cheek. If that's not proof enough she's still going to do pop I don't know what you want. She's still going to make pop music give me a break. :smh:

Brooke Hoegan 1,018
Oh wow excuse where did she said she is done with pop music?? Can you link me please??? I didn't say she quits forever but for a couple of years cause : - "**** you pop music" - says in concert that acoustic version of Gypsy is a taste of "our" future - wants to release an acoustic album - now wants to release another jazz album if C2C does well - Act 2 nowhere to be mentioned since a VERY long time I'm just making assumptions that are kinda logical, not like you can do more than me with information we've been given i think that jazz album can be bigger fail than ARTPOP because jazz and 2014 dont go together I think so too, at least she isn't going to enlarge the fanbase (some mature jazz fans isn't as much as she will loose) but that's her choice what she's doing with her career --- have in mind that outside the biggest markets there are already countries where Gaga was huge and now has like negligible amount of fans and jazz albums will not help the situation also, these are MINE opinions, you can agree/disagree all you want, no need to be harsh

But you've been declaring that "YOU WEREN"T WAITING FOR HER!!!11!". What was all that for? Drama? Gaga might lose some fans and she might gain some new fans. She might decide to take a long break after the jazz album or she might put out an album of power ballads. Fans and trends will come and go, you can't ever predict what will happen. A few years back, you couldn't get a ballad on the radio, then we went through a period of time where those were the hot songs. Who knew that this time last year, half of the Pop top 10 was going to sound like folk music? Will Gaga write jazz originals...IDK...she is an artist. This side project might just inspire her to do a jazzier Pop album. Maybe instead of power rock ballads, it will be power pop ballads with a jazz flavor. Maybe a quirky Adele? Who knows, really? In the end, chasing trends or even staying the same isn't what Gaga wants to do. It's really time this small slice of her fan base figured that out.
