I actually heard it directly after I came out to my best friend, she played the part of girlfriend for a little while to keep it secret for a couple years while I had my boyfriend at the time. Anyway I heard that song, that BANG BANG sent me into a tailspin. I had found Gaga, she became my world. I downloaded all the Gaga I could find and by LoveGame, I knew every song on the album. BUT I never actually owned The Fame (Just that album [i do now, as of 11/11/13 (; ] not TFM). EVERYONE started going INSANE about Gaga, and i was like ... Gypsy Hooker 0 Posted August 18, 2014 Share Posted August 18, 2014 I used to Stan for The ***cat Dolls and in the summer of 08 during the release of When I Grow Up I used to check their website all the time for news and watch the video on a little screen on their website. Before I could watchtower the music video a short clip advertisement of Just Dance was played, obviously the promo due to LG writing for the group, and I always used to be like 'C'monn get to the song, who is this?' (Forgive me I was 13). Then when Just Dance started having an impact in the UK the following Jan I was like 'wait, I recognise this video', gave it a proper listen and fell in love with her since then. Then in the same month I watched Gaga support the Dolls on their tour and her 20 minute set outperformed the hour long, well established set of Ne-Yo. Suddenly, the music section was flooded with Threads about Lady Gaga and her song Just Dance. At first, I did not care about it, didn't even listen to the song. But then, some day a user posted a link of Gaga performing Just Dance at SYTYCD, I decided to give it a chance and was blown away by the strange, yet captivating performance. I was not impressed by her at that time , because I thought that she was just another superficial pop singer. But then I heard Paparazzi ,which I loved, I started to like Gaga and realized that I was wrong about her. Became a fan in 2009. She was promoting Poker Face at the time, so its video is the first thing that came up.
