There is nothing wrong with it really.

 

Unfortunately this site is full of people that think they know better than Steven Klein, Tony Bennett and Gaga plus all their backroom staff combined and spend their time complaining, generating negativity and having meltdowns  :)

 

If you go to Tony Bennetts Facebook page, which in the main is inhabited by fairly normal people, the reaction to the album and covers is mostly positive  :cool:

 

 

Regardless of whether or not you choose to believe it, there actually are members on this site who do know better then Lady "let me take a picture of this picture to add texture" Gaga when it comes to graphic design, and there is nothing wrong with that. She is a singer, songer writer, and performer not a visual artist. There are individuals on this site and on other forums who produce content that is more sophisitcated then the majorty of what Gaga's team of designers churn out.

 

Perhaps you also think Gaga's offical merch looks groundbreaking.

Even though it's not pic from a proffesional shoot I like the way Gaga looks VERY MUCH, I don't think she looks too photoshopped like some of you say, they rather seem like they have a little too much make-up, must be the filters. But Tony has such a creepy face that makes the whole thing look a little awkward awkward.

 

The Deluxe is better imo!

Klien more then likely is just responsible for the photograph. I doubt he had anything to do with editing the photo, the newspaper format, or the typeface.

In bold is exactly what I tried to say. Certain facts about this picture trigger feelings and the ones I stated and you but in bold are simply examples of such feelings.

But I see my argument is invalid? Are you kidding me? Rude.

Vissuals trigger emotions. There are facts to this. Just like the color red is alarming and green is calming, a picture of a face that has lost defintion, can make a person look dolllike/plastic/fake.

Especially with the eyes, if the sphere shape is gone and they appear flat, which looks very piercing, it evokes different emotions, good or bad.

And considering how well everyone on here knows Gaga and her face, alterations to that face, wether it's achieved by lighting, make-up or photoshop, can trigger a reaction, good or bad.

Same goes for Tony's face. People are used to seeing him one way, it might be strange to see him another way.

As for the sepia. A color filter is used, that is a fact. And a REASON people can dislike it, is because of what I said above.

Yes, indeed visuals do trigger feelings and emotions. My point was that these feelings simply create different opinions. 

 

And since a good majority of the opinions expressed here were not really opinions per se, just mindless whining about how they don't like it and how this, that or whatever, and so I made a point (I guess as over-dramatic as every other complaint here) that they really don't need to just sit and b*tch about it.

 

Don't like it? Ok, no one is making you. But you don't have to sit there and be a Debbie downer to the rest of us just because you don't like it. Say it's not really your taste and let it be. Let others actually discuss it.

doesn't a photographer wants to edit his own photo? if it gets a ****ty edit it's his reputation being damaged

It's gorgeous! Do we know who the photographer is? ...I can't wait to preorder tomorrow! :D

EDIT: Woooooow. The comments on here. I guess not everybody loved it. Yes, the entire album cover is very photoshopped, but what else is new? What matters, really, is the music and the quality of it. This is a project that could be a very crucial moment in Gaga's career, we should be supporting it and embracing it a bit more, people. Just relax and enjoy this great new era. :)
