I saw BVS the other day and it wasn't that bad, but the lashings It kinda doesn't deserve it, but they tried iT when they moved it to the same day as Civil War for that little pissing contest, so this is a bit enoyable

I thought it was kind of cool, I liked it, but I have three main criticisms. I totally agree with the people saying the movie crumbles under its own weight. It wants to set so many things up that it doesn't feel like a coherent story. Kind of like Iron Man 2 but worse, you really have to look for it and assume/guess things that happen off-screen because so much time is spent on other things.

The whole Batman vs Superman conflict that's been teased for months on end lasts for about 5 minutes and ends in such a stupid way. Like, I don't want to spoil, but I guess they were going for an emotional moment but it just lands like a wet fart.

And you really need to know your DC. The movie assumes you just know stuff and completely caters to the hardcore DC fanboys. I'm not versed in that universe at all, I just know the basics, so i had to read up a lot afterwards.

But just enjoy it and form your own opinion!

Yikes, I know a lot about Marvel comics but virtually nothing about DC Comics. Oh well, I enjoy researching and I'm sure there will be articles that elaborate on it. I'll let you know what I think.

I'd give the movie a 7/10. The plot was very disjointed and mixed, it was hard to focus on what was going on, especially with the apocalyptic vision bit. Doesn't help that you can hardly understand words in movie theaters. However, I do appreciate that it utilized all of it's 2 and a half hours. It was too long of a movie for sure, but I wouldn't call any of it really wasteful. I like how they didn't paint neither Batman or Superman to the be the bad guy, and Wonder Woman was badass. What annoyed me was the typical "The main character is dead and we're going to have a 20 minute mourning scene, but at the last half second of the movie give you a hint that they're not really dead" bit. So many movies have done that, X-Men and Phoenix pop up in my mind.

BVS is my first ever Superman movie that I enjoyed tbh. 

I saw it on the 23rd and it was awesome. I am not sure what these critics were on about? Batfleck is good and Wonder Woman is so fierce.

Anyway, back to MCU, cannot wait for Civil War, Phase 3 is in, bitch!! 🙌🙌🙌

Too many episodes perhaps? They do spread what is not a very large plot over 13 hours.

10 would be a better way to make it I think.

If they want to do 13, they can always do "filler" esque episodes to just help character development.

Like in JJ, I wanted more episodes devoted to her investigating random cases before we dived back into the Purple Man.

Or seeing Daredevil juggle his life and vigilante work an episode or 2 (and perhaps set up the Punisher's cases more) before we dived into it.

 

Would be a lot better than stretching storylines way too long... like the Hand stuff, which was already just boring.

I think it would be a good idea to introduce 'b-villains' who are around for several episodes but have absolutely no connection to the main bad guy

Just finished Daredevil season 2. Elektra was great. Not really sure how Punisher or Kingpin tied into the Hand story though.

Does anybody else here hate Kingpin's acting? Can't help but roll my eyes every time he comes on screen because he just hams it up
