He's just a regular sized guy who can shrink down (and sometimes up in the comics, but IDK about the movie. He designed a costume that allows him to communicate with ants. In the film, Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) will take on the mantle of Ant-Man after Hank Pym gives him the suit.
