There was no reason this should've escalated the way it has. I fear that if something like this is causing armored vehicles, tear gas and the detaining of journalists it's only going to get worse. The National Guard should be called in and a curfew should be put in place, for starters. This needs to be done, imo, to protect the people- not punish them. I am sick and tired of people thinking that we have to have our guns taken away because some sick f--ks decide to do bad things. Yeah, it's awful, but so is the number of deaths caused each year by drinking and driving. So, why haven't people banned cars or alcohol? The former is necessary for modern day life, and the latter is loved by too many people. Ugh. Sorry. Some people really piss me off. Anyway, here is a picture because someone on Twitter said news sources are only showing black protestors when there are other ethnicities involved as well. This is our future right here. Every life matters. These are the good protesters, the peaceful ones. According the St. Louis local news there were two sets of protests going on last night. One was the peaceful one located outside of the Ferguson police station in which people were putting up their hands screaming don't shoot, and there was a more violent protest going on not too far from the area where MIke Brown was shot that caused the police to throw tear gas. In this protest, apparently the protesters began throwing things at the police while shouting, "kill the police" which caused the tear gas and rubber bullets to be used.
