Tommymonster44 0
So visiting a museum in Salem constitutes getting an education? Oh Katy. I feel bad for her because I think she is under the impression we don't know she needs an education. Not news sweetie but good for you. I can tell you that I didn't receive an education in many of my high school classes. Regurgitating information onto tests and worksheets doesn't constitute as an education to me. jthorn 37
School likes to think it prepares you for real life when in fact, jobs couldn't be more different from what you got taught or how you got taught. You're far more likely to remember something that you're interested in, that you have researched of your own free will and are not being tested on what you know afterwards. I couldn't agree more... but it's impossible for schools to prepare us for jobs that don't even exist yet. The world changes so quickly, how can we be prepared for that? I think schools need to install a learning culture in students so that they know how to learn themselves and although you trashed group work, group work is a very important part of life/any job. Wet Fire 7,605
She is right. Education is one of the most important things in life. I'm glad her regret has a great advice. But if she feels the need to be more educated, then go ahead Katy! It's never too late to learn!

VasilisVas 5,196
nothing wrong with going back to school for a GED or a college degree. When I was in my Master's program, I had classmates who were well in their 40's-60's. It's never too late.

colours 128
Isnt regret what pushes us forward the most? Ikr? Some ppl here are rly horrible, I just can't believe what I see sometimes so much for online kindness. Maybe for some people but I wouldn't ever regret an experience of mine, especially bad experiences, because I wouldn't know the outcome or know what to look for in the future had I not experienced certain things in life. It's better to move forward rather than be disappointed in yourself over something that has already happened. In my opinion, you should learn from it and move on, not regret it as if it never happened.

Nemo 4,295
nothing wrong with going back to school for a GED or a college degree.Nothing wrong with it... but no point to it, either, unless you want the credentials for a better job, which Katy doesn't. She's clearly an intelligent person; she can educate herself.
VasilisVas 5,196
Nothing wrong with it... but no point to it, either, unless you want the credentials for a better job, which Katy doesn't. She's clearly an intelligent person; she can educate herself. It's not about getting a "better job". It's about feeling accomplished. Going to school and getting an education gives one a great feeling of accomplishment, and is something nobody can ever take away from you. Once you have a degree, it's yours forever. Some people go back to school for the sole purpose of entertainment, as they enjoy learning. I don't think going back would be pointless for her. If that's what she wants to do, and if she thinks it'll be good for her, then I say go for it.

Alex C 254
Compare her to Gaga, who is an ACADEMIC when it comes to her artistry. :king: Education is a big deal, if you ask me. And even if you are riding the wave of success of your... artistry like Katy, you should find DIY ways to continue your education. Especially in Arts, so that she can have a bigger say in her creations. Just the T, no shade Perform Living
