StrawberryBlond 14,524
I can't help thinking that she routinely gets hired because she's a lot cheaper to hire than other acts (maybe she does it for free) and the way things have been going, Gaga's needed to save money wherever she can. Her opening acts have been really odd this time what with foreign acts who speak in languages her audience won't understand. At least she's giving Japan Momoiro Clover Z, so they'll get an act who they can actually understand. But I really hope she gets something more in line with world tastes for her next legs. As it's a rave, she'll probably get a DJ of some sort for the Europe leg, which will be pretty boring, unfortunately. I just don't understand how Starlight repeatedly gets thrown to the wolves every night. Everyone on the team must know that the audience doesn't like her, so why subject her to it? Alijandro 9
i think a lot of it has to do with gaga wanting to honour how much lady starlight helped her in the early days, and like return the favour idk Pretty much this, and people kind of ask "who is this chick" and might actually be motivated to look up her story and see her beginnings. But we saw this again with SP and Dirty Pearls, she really just wants to pay back these bands that she had a connection with in the early days. As for Euro dates, dont fear as Australia only got Starlight last time too, and you'll probably have a proper opening act like the USA

ThatSLAYGUY 68
Good Australia doesn't deserve a good opening act if they're not even buying their tickets meanwhile they can buy tickets to see 20 Katy Perry concerts. Come at me when Gaga does 19376473 Sunrise interviews and Performance on X Factor I BOUGHT my tickets bye

They are friends... I think that's the reason. I don't like her neither. But anyway, I wish I had crayon pop as opening acts in my date. I don't listen to that music but it would be a different and interesting thing to watch, since I am probably never going to buy tickets to see one of their concerts. I still don't get the problem that you, emgish speakers, have with "not understanding the lyrics". I mean, do you realise that Gaga goes to more countries where english is not an official idiom and most of people there don't understand it? What's the problem? None of them should go to any Gaga (or any US/UK artist) concert because they don't understand it?
ChristianSaad 661
If Starlight is scheduled to go on at 7:30 then there probably won't be any other openers. If there was another opener she wouldn't have been scheduled for at least 8pm if not later. This time around it's more of a DJ Lady Starlight vibe, she plays edm/deep house
lavenderblondee 3,695
I wanted to like it, but after the first few minutes, I just couldn't. Her set gave me a terrible headache and it was hard to enjoy the show after. Literally the same beats at a time for a good 5 minutes and then a new beat, same thing, and repeats the entire thing just while standing there waving her hands. I didn't understand and no else seemed to either.
