heavyMetalGAGA 65
Coming off of a creativly stale project like ARTPOP, which seems to have been an album made to placate her managment, fans, and the public, I can't think of a better idea then delving into a new sound. I can see her Today Show interview already "I've been singing rock since I was thirteen ya' know? I bought Dookie the day it came out." I smell a Rick Rubin record coming our way. I was thinking the same thing about Rubin, especially since he's recently talked about her. It'd be a pretty smart move for Gaga's sanity and the critics and fans alike for her to write an album with songs similar to Oh Well. I usually don't get too disappointed with her, but if she doesn't go down this route and channel her metal and rock roots, I'm going to be very upset  Edited August 6, 2014 by heavyMetalGAGA
Voltaic 25
Where does it say she will go classic rock and power ballads?
heavyMetalGAGA 65
well i'd definitely be here for something like this for sure, if she means her piano ballad/rock songs pre-the fame then i am 100% on board with it. Same!! I think she could really come up with something that's great. And she should never aim to please everyone, but this seems like it would be a good record to change things up and shut people up. Made me sad that you think she's just genre hopping now :( She never claimed she wanted to create a new genre, so I don't think it's healthy to expect that from her. I'm really looking forward to her abandoning this silly rave nonsense. She's so much better than that.

Fusel 1,109
This could be really good! I can't at the people saying 'Ihope Interscope stops this' If you are a fan of Gaga the ARTIST, let her do her own thing. If you're only here for the BRAND then go listen to Lady Interscope I've been seeing this coming for a while now. A LOT of Born This Way had classic rock influence: Hair, Heavy Metal Lover, Electric Chapel, You and I, even some elements of Judas and Marry the Night. I think that's truly where GaGa's voice lives. She's a great singer which is why her Pop music is so spectacular, but even my older relatives were saying her voice reminded them of Pat Benetar and Cher, both more rock divas in their prime than pop songstresses. This. I still love PopGa but I always felt like she's a rock singer disguised as a pop singer Edited August 6, 2014 by Fusel
