Tropico 4,145
PUSH BOUNDARIES? Alien Tulip 12,428
It's kind of sad that this thread has 14 pages because it shows how obsessed gaga fans are with katy. I don't like katy's music either but I'm not going to make fun of her with any chance I get and trust me I would do the same but I then grew up and realized how immature it is. Why hate someone just because they have number ones and Gaga doesnt? It's quite silly to even dislike someone even if they make fun of Gaga. I used to be a hardcore stan and would defend gaga with every chance I could get but when you grow up you realize theres no point of defending someone that doesnt know you exist and plus I couldn't care less who talks **** about Gaga simply because she doesn't pay my rent or add food to my plate. It's funny how everyone is mocking Katy's comment about pushing boundaries yet Gaga said the same thing for ARTPOP and how this era was going to be hard to top and yet the only thing closest to art that shes accomplished is being displayed at the louvre which is big for her but it doesn't live up to the expectations we had for the exaggeration of the hype she caused. I'm not being negative about Gaga but I just think its silly people here are mocking katy's boundary comment when Gaga pretty much does the same and doesn't live up to it since 2012
Darcklighter22 2,358
F*ck you pop music this is ARTP...Prism It's kind of sad that this thread has 14 pages because it shows how obsessed gaga fans are with katy. I use to be a really die hard fan in the past as well and I still like her and her music. She's just known for over hyping herself now for quite some time...She's built up and delivered around the end of the Fame era and during The Fame Monster era Born this way kinda went downhill from there speaking of overall appeal with die hard fans and just the general public, she contradicts herself constantly but that's ok as well as the fame has clearly gotten to her in certain ways you can attack me all you want but I know from having followed her since her very early fame era days it has! she's still pretty grounded tho but there are days where she places herself on a pedestal. Prismatic 4,789
yeah it's mature for a 15 yo maybe... Are you seriously... So Katy doesn't write songs about d--gs, so their not mature? "By The Grace Of God" is more mature than "Dope" imho. If people can't stand the second half of PRISM, than I don't get how will you like an all acoustic album. My dear i'm mature enough to understand what is or not deep in concept/meaning/lyrics/music, and that's not the case of PRISM i'm sorry for you or her but that is it, a song over 16 is not making the difference. This album is a teenage-like that is focusing over teenage-like problem nothing memorable or metaphorical. Just basic pop for the general pubblic. Gaga is not talking about d--gs in dope it's called trivial metaphor...these unknown...all of gaga's carrer it's based on trivial metaphors so shut up your showing off your ignorance. That's quite sad. "Toast one last puff And two last regrets Three spirits and Twelve lonely steps Up heaven's stairway to gold Mine myself like coal A mountain of a soul Each day, I cry Oh, I feel so low from living high" Go and learn how to write a song. That's quite sad. This album is nothing teenage like... She's talking about her divorce and struggles she had. Omg... have you read my previous post? The first half album is pop for the public (is force by my company), but the second half is no where near general friendly... if she release one of those songs then she will flop out to a while new universe. Excuse you, I thought the song was about how she's addicted to d--gs, but she have her fans there to support her and made her stop or something like that. It's quite sad how yall Monsters are always obsess with Katy. You guys always have something to say (it's always something negative, when there ever is a positive thread about Katy, the most that thread will have one 1 or 2 pages). Like jfc it's JUST numbers. Why is it so serious for some people?

IHE 563
She should release and album and an EP about fame - maybe the album could talk about the positive sides of fame and the EP could explore the negative sides? They could be called, like, The Celebrity, and The Celebrity Monster. That would really be boundary-pushing.

Alvaro 5
Isn't this exactly what she said about PRISM? (dark themes, very different from TD) And look how that turned out. :toofloppy:
IHE 563
Gaga is being respected and considered as a real artist when she says "#TheMusicNotTheBling", "**** you Pop music", and stuff like this, whereas Katy is being bashed by the whole fanbase when she holds a somewhat similar speech. How ironic. Are you trying to be funny or do you actually believe what you posted? Gaga makes risky decisions constantly so when she talks about the music not the bling or talks about pushing boundaries she can, because she actually does push pretty hard, so hard the GP reject her... If Katy was doing any of those things, there might be some irony, but there isn't any because she pushes zero boundaries. She walks where the people before her have already walked and she release remixes in order to get number 1 records. I think the only boundary she ever pushed was marrying Russel Brand. Please punch the word irony into dictionary.com.

Please punch the word irony into dictionary.com. The poor girl is just saying what she wants to do in the future and the entire fanbase is making fun of her. Who knows, maybe she will succeed to do something interesting and experimental. The same goes for Gaga, when she says she wants to do something experimental, I choose to believe her. If it doesn't work, sad for her, but at least she tried or had the idea. Just in case, the last time Gaga did something experimental and "risky" was when she released Born This Way. "She walks where the people before her have already walked and she release remixes in order to get number 1 records." -> This is exactly what Gaga did a few months ago with DWUW... It's a good song and I totally understand why she wanted to make it successful. There is nothing wrong with doing something commercial or "radio-friendly", as long as you're happy with your creations. We all have different goals in life, and no matter the goal, they are all equal.
