Also, this statement actually gives support to her earlier announcement that she has a 'bigger plan' with her career which fruits should be seen in the next five to six years or so. I'm assuming strengthening her portfolio at this time has always been her top priority then, especially while the iron's still hot for her to fully take advantage of. She's still relatively young and has more years under her belt to pursue a much mature material and image anyway. There's really no urgency to take things in a hurry. Ever since PRISM was released, it has become clearer that she's taking things slowly yet surely. And oftentimes, it's a more effective strategy. Slowly building a legacy through first scoring as much commercial success as possible is more opportune than to someone who's in a rush to be considered as a 'serious' artist. Was this really thread worthy in the first place ? who cares about what she said in this interview like, this a Gaga forum, and everytime there's a Katy thread its a hit... even Admin takes advantage of this obsession (remember when he changed the thread title to "Gaga responds to Katy"... i think its sad and unhealthy to maintain this sort of hateful attitude, we're forgetting everything Gaga taught us during TFM, BTW...
