They almost die after seonds out of water in the tv show. Also, I think this kills the really funny gag that everytime they come out of water they are shown as real things, patrick being a real star and spongebob a real kitchen sponge Remember that episode where Mr. Krabs, Squidward, Spongebob, Patrick and Sandy came out of the ocean for a few minutes because of a dare?
