Henry 2,374
I'm a bit confused... I finished downloading and it says "Installation Complete," but I don't see the game anywhere. The icon isn't on my computer or anything, nor in my Downloads folder. Am I missing something here? You have to click play from Origin it self. Just hover over the game and click play
Anomaly 134
You must have super fast internet I just cancelled my download. I doubt my computer could handle all of those expansions tbh Eh, my internet isn't that great. You have to click play from Origin it self. Just hover over the game and click play That's the thing. Instead of saying "Play" it says "Install," even though it said "Installation Complete." I downloaded it onto my brother's computer as well, and it worked for him. But for me it still says "Install." Anomaly 134
And when you click Install what happens? The Install bar on the bottom says "Installing," then changes to "Installation Complete," and then nothing else happens. From that point, I should be able to press Play, but it still says "Install." From that point, I should be able to press Play, but it still says "Install." Try these: To resolve this issue, please follow these steps: Close Origin. Right-click the Origin icon on your desktop and select Run As Administrator. This will run Origin as an administrator and should allow the game to install. If you are still unable to install the game, please follow these steps: Close Origin. Click the Windows button and type "UAC" in the search field. In the User Access Control window that appeared, click-and-hold the slide bar and slide it to the lowest setting available. Click Ok at the bottom of the window. Open Origin and attempt to complete the game install by clicking "Install" on the selected game.

I tried clicking the "Repair Game" button in the drop down menu. Maybe that will help. This will really suck if I can't play it. :/ Maybe I'll try making another EA account and download it through there.

Henry 2,374
It's taking awhile... :( Its 12+ Gigs so its gonna take while  Yeah, I had Apartment Life, University, and Double Deluxe installed. All via disk. I wonder if that's you problem? If the repair does not work, uninstall all the games you had even the base game, and re-install the one that came with origin because it includes the base game

It worked perfectly fine on my brother's computer, but he's never had The Sims installed on his before. I'm just hesitant to uninstall because I don't want to lose everything I have. Even though I have the game backed up, I'd still have to manually go in and put back all of the files of my characters and locations.
