Paper Planes 340
OBERLIN, Ohio – A Fremont man who went missing at a Jason Aldean concert at Progressive Field was found dead at the Lorain County Landfill Tuesday. Cory Barron, 22, was reported missing Saturday from the concert. His friends said they last saw him between 8 and 9 p.m. Capt. Jim Drozdowski of the Lorain County Sheriff's Office confirmed Tuesday evening that a body found at the landfill was Barron. The body was found in a garbage truck that makes stops in the Cleveland area. Drozdowski said Tuesday evening that it was too early to speculate on Barron's cause of death. Cleveland police arrive at Progressive Field Tuesday as part of the investigation into the disappearance of Cory Barron. Barron's body was discovered in a Lorain County landfill Tuesday. He went missing Friday night during a Jason Aldean concert. Cleveland police special investigations Commander Jim Chura confirmed the Jason Aldean concert ticket was still in Barron's pocket when landfill workers discovered the body Tuesday afternoon. The dumpster containing Barron's body was at the bottom of Progressive Field, and was accessible by a chute from the stadium's fifth level near where Barron was sitting, Chura said. "It's quite a ways down," Chura said. "At least five or six stories." Chura said it looks like Barron may have fallen or crawled into the chute, but stressed that the matter was still under investigation currently as a homicide, until detectives and the Lorain County Coroner rule out foul play. A press release from the Cleveland Police Department said Cleveland officers were present when the Lorain County Coroner's Office positively identified Barron's body. Lorain County Coroner Stephen Evans said an autopsy is scheduled for tomorrow, but a cause of death might not be known for weeks. A friend said Barron was extremely intoxicated when he was last seen, according to a police report. At least 11 Cleveland police vehicles, homicide detectives and crime scene investigators were parked at Progressive Field and Quicken Loans Arena while investigators worked at the Lorain County Landfill Tuesday. It's weird to think that he may have just fallen multiple stories into a dumpster and died... but at least then we'd know that we don't have a random murderer bumping off concert-goers... delete it fat
