I'm sure she will get great raves for this and, fingers crossed, for Tony and Gaga a Grammy. But I just don't like this kind of music. It puts me to sleep by the middle of the song. So if a few songs hit me I will buy them individually. Otherwise, I have to pass for the whole album from looking at the tracklist. I will buy the CD for my aunt for Christmas, though. She will like it.. I have a feeling in the next three to four years, when the right project hits and she has the time, we will see Gaga on Broadway. They are cute, she looks pretty, but they are getting a little...monotonous. Just because you are doing a jazz record with Tony Bennett doesn't mean you have to stick to a certain formula he established with his other projects. The whole appeal of a Gaga and Tony record is the collaboration of two artists from seeminly opposite worlds. It just would be nice to see Gaga bring a little Gaga-ness to Cheek To Cheek. But I enjoyed it, I'm gay, I like torch singers as much as I like disco queens. It's cool. Just wish she would be a little more forward thinking in her aproach to this record.
