When that chance is just thrown down by Gaga it wouldn't make anyone happy. I just mean the mentality of being CLOSE to what you ultimately wanted. Like she picked up the gift, so OP had a chance, and theeeeeen didn't get that #1 goal. So it's not exactly the same, but I can see how the feelings are similar. Did you have a hard time enjoying the rest of the concert after this? I recently went to the Vegas artRave yesterday and I threw my Barbie dressed in the artRave gypsy outfit with long white hair onstage. She picked it up and she was like "oooo look she has dreadlocks", and I was so excited, but then she had a hard time getting the note out (stupid of me to tie it with fishing strings and LED shoelaces ), so she threw it on the side :( I was so crushed and afterwards it was hard to enjoy the rest of the show. Anyone had this experience? I can tell you first hand don't go with the plan or hope to go backstage it will ruin your whole experience. i was called up at the btw ball and i wanted to be called up badly this year at the artrave. i went all the way to nyc the whole show i was trying to be called. but i think another thing that messed me up is i ran around the whole show. WORSE IDEA EVER! she can't call u out if she doesn't no where you are. i went to artrave dallas a month later didn't want anything but to meet monsters and have a good time. and thats how it went ! then after applause she called me on stage for the 2nd time! it will be her choice you can't make her. its so much more special if she picks you anyway. Like they'll write a sob story and then say "please take me backstage" I feel like its unfair of them. Because if Gaga reads it out loud she kind of has to take them backstage after. I don't want to be insensitive but I mean I would be upset too tbh :( But like most people said, you can't make getting backstage the #1 priority. As hard as it is not to though. Well Yes 14 Posted July 29, 2014 Share Posted July 29, 2014 She wore my jacket at the BTWB and asked me if I made it and I was like screaming yes and everyone pointed at me then she said "Well I might just have to..." (I thought she was gonna say 'invite you backstage' or something) "...wear it then!" but tbh I was way to excited that she wore it and spoke (two sentences) to me to even care at all and it didn't ruin my night. I didn't even plan on throwing it to her. My artRAVE is in a month and sure I might throw a letter onstage, but I will know that there is only like a 1 in 30 chance that she will pick up mine out of everyone elses and read it, therefore I won't be let down or making my whole night about that. I just think it's unfair for people who are going to multiple shows and people who have ARTPOP Zone and people who have already met her to say that she should stop taking people backstage or that nobody else deserves it, because most people like me have never met her and only get to go to one show every 2 years, and I am super grateful for that because some don't even get to go at all. I really enjoyed the show :D I understand how extra devastating it was for you though since she actually chose your note and couldn't read it :( Maybe next time! The amount of stuff that gets thrown on stage is unbelievable. ;) But good that you're not making the whole night about getting backstage. BTW, I have APZ tix and I still like it that she invites some fans backstage. I've never met her before, never thrown anything on stage, but I don't need to coz I have my APZ tix and I know I will meet her, but not everyone can afford those tix (or get them - it was extremely hard to even get the ticket even if you did have the money for it), and i think it's nice that she wants to meet her fans - whether they pay for it or they get there by throwing something on stage. :) Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

Omg yes totally. AdelaAngelo 0 Posted July 31, 2014 Share Posted July 31, 2014 i wish i could just go to the show and enjoy it and i hope i will but rn i do think a lot about getting backstage. and the same happened at the btwb and it ruined my experience and im so not making the same mistake but rn i cant help it. i mean, when u've been preparing yourself for this concert for almost a year (bought my ticket like 280 days before the show) u just cannot not think about all the possible ways things could turn out. and actually this gets me even more excited (tbh i wasnt excited AT ALL bout the btwball idk so it'll def be better now). and the reasons i wanna meet her are so many but thats not the point. i think it'd def be easier for many of us if she didnt pick anyone but yet the prices for M&G are just......... and tbh i'm travelling 2055 km from varna to zurich *if only she came back to bulgaria * for this show and i'd honestly not give all the effort and money just to see a show if there wasnt the small chance of me seeing her (maybe not backstage but at her hotel or sth). so yeah i've kinda got big hopes and i know i shouldnt but i cant help it. cuz when u live in such country tours are ur only chance to meet ur idol and since i get this chance once in 2-3 years ima try everythingt. ''cuz i've got nothing left to lose'' i think the best i could do is work on being more possitive so when she ignores my stupid ass i dont break down lol but ima get mad high anyway so i dont think i will care that much Thats why people shouldnt make going backstage the main goal of the evening. They should enjoy the show and ABSOLUTLY DON'T COUNT ON GOING BACKSTAGE. Tbh people who focus on going backstage too much just don't deserve it imo. They should enjoy the show and let Gaga choose. Ofcourse theres nothing wrong with trowing stuff on stage, but I red a story from someone who trew like 20 letters on stage and got picked to go backstage, thats just sooooooo sad. So write a letter, but dont count on going backstage too much, so it wont ruin your evening if you don't get picked. Be careful when posting here, cause she reads this forum :) At one point you're right, failing does ruin experience, BUT Sexxx Dreams is 16th song, after x dreams there's only a few songs left, so it ruins just a small part of the show :) Inviting people backstage makes her special, cause nobody does that(correct me if i'm wrong) and btw you know that preparing gifts, preparing outfits IS A PART of the experience and it's YOU being original! Do something original, don't throw just a stuffed animal or other thing that you can buy in store, make something BY YOUR HANDS.
