SpadesToStart 3,508
I honestly have no idea where she is going to go next, and that makes me super excited! She said she's really proud of the song she's writing right now, which I don't think is for C2C just based on the timing of it all, so I have high hopes for her next album. Maybe I'm naive, but I think she's going to have a LOT of creative control this time around and that makes me think we are going to get something really innovative! (of course still in the general sphere of pop)

Grant 2
Lol these subgenres are endless its almost comical. But I agree, IDM would be cool. R&B though? I hope not too much anyway. Previous to ARTPOP's release I was curious to hear some urban influenced tracks from her and kind of excited by the idea but now im like please do not. i was thinking more of a second time around, no way, reloaded kind of R&B sound. definitely don't want her to do Jewels N' Drugs again eek

But I guess it wouldn't be terrible. I feel like her strength is in pop-darkwave.

Mariano 958
No need to react on it? Forums are all about reactions. And to say The Fame Monster is basic? I guess everyones entitled to their opinion and by no means is it some holy grail of pop music. However, I think its the only album shes made that is chic and adult. Its commercial, but its Gaga. I get that Born This Way tried on a lot of different genres, but it tried them all on at once to create this huge mass of ideas that was so loud it just cancelled itself out. I like it a lot, I think it has some good tracks. But im kind of over fans acting like its some experimental underrated masterpiece when it isn't, or that its superior just because it was lofty. The Fame Monster may have been more pulled back, but thats far from a negative thing. And when something comes together that great, its far from basic even if it may not have reinvented the wheel. Lyrically and conceptually, I think Born This Way was much more basic than The Fame Monster. It was juvenile (Hair, Bad Kids, Highway Unicorn, etc). I said that the music is not basic OMFG. Learn to read. The EDM used in The Fame Monster is BASIC EDM yes it's forum and if you are going to react to something I said, get it right. "I am responsible for what I'm saying, not for what people thought I said" And what the hell does Born This Way have to do with my post ??????? BTW has rock influences, 70s influences that's why I didn't include it in my post. TFM is a masterpiece, but it uses BASIC EDM. Unless you want to tell me that the dance influences on TFM are really, really futuristic and no one has done it before ? I didn't even mention BTW, why the heck did you start talking about it ? You have some anger towards it or what

You referred to it in your initial post as if it wasn't basic or was less basic because it wasn't what you believed to be "basic EDM" and I had to correct you because I think its more basic than TFM conceptually and production wise. However I of course love the album so theres no anger or whatever youre accusing me of. Im just a--lytical. What does someone having done something before have to do with anything? That doesn't make something "new". And at any rate, whats featured on The Fame Monster is not EDM in the way in which you're referring to it. The Fame Monster primarily is influenced by artists like Depeche Mode, 80s darkwave and synthpop then ventures into other territories on songs like Speechless, Teeth, and Telephone. You have a very basic knowledge of music and therefore refer to anything electronic as EDM. But its nothing more than a vague umbrella term that has no actual meaning itself. So for you to say TFM is "basic EDM" makes no sense. As I stated or maybe you're the one that needs to learn how to read. There is no importance to whether or not something reinvents the wheel. What matters is execution and when something comes together as great as The Fame Monster did its 100% irrelevant whether or not it was "original" or "experimental". You can't call it basic. Schwerk 7,274
I would love for her to change her method from what she did with ARTPOP, writing/adapting songs for existing beats/tracks and compose and produce her own music from scratch. Oldschool. It will take a loooong time, but since I feel she's gonna be pregnant at the end of next year, she will have the time+ creative juices flowing. According to Gaga I'm a ****ing rad bitch
CameronMarchant 0
Gaga will have tons of unreleased tracks, literally anything could happen.

I am sorry but I stopped reading there. I never said TFM was more basic than BTW. I said TFM uses basic edm. So i am not going to read the other part of your post, as I don't want to argue about something I don't even care about. Music is subjective. I like BTW more and you like TFM more /end.
