myOWNtable 182
Great review! I agree that you have to be there in person to feel it. I almost cried during Born This Way. I can't even remember most of the show; I was too in awe. All I can remember is how a bunch of 10- to 90-year-old people came together and partied. Like you said, her vocals were perfect! Born This Way, Gypsy, and especially Aura stood out as spot-on. One thing that stood out to me in Pittsburgh was that there were HARDLY ANY teenagers where I was sitting. It was mostly 30-40 year-olds and there were a ton of grey-haired folk! When people make comments about how little monsters are all "emotional kids," they couldn't be further from the truth. Older people don't mess around spending money on a crappy show. They know real talent, and that is Gaga! I'm jealous of how the new shows have Judas as well as more instruments used in the intro! I also love how Gaga comes alive and starts dancing as soon as ARTPOP begins. At my show, she was rather stiff through the whole song...not that that was a bad thing! But the energy she gives off during ARTPOP now is much greater. I wished I was down on the floor! artRAVE was my first Gaga concert but I am desperate to go again... That J 12,166
Awww thank you guys! I just HAD to write a review and I knew what I wanted to say but I couldn't figure out exactly where to put it....GGD of course! Lol. You guys amaze me...I love coming here and reading the joy, love, excitement oh and yes even the meltdowns! Cracks me up. Any monster who's had a meltdown this era (that's all 48 billion of us lol) need silence themselves because I am your friend and I know what's up and Gaga cemented EVERYthing with artRAVE: the ARTPOP ball. So know it! I'd love to go back...I always do this when I see her and I swear she just gets better and better. Oh and yes. I lost my SHIZNIZ during Judas ;). So glad you guys liked my review and I'm even more glad to know you are feeling the same way about the show. Literally can not recommend it anymore than I have. Anyone reading who's on the fence....get off the fence ;). Xo The Idler Wheel Is Wiser Than The Driver Of The Screw

somechick 1
Can't f**king wait People are saying the videos don't do it justice, is this true? Yes, it's true. You really have to be the to experience the whole atmosphere, which you can't get from a "crappy" (OK there are some good quality vids around) iphone video. ;) In Vegas last night I saw heaps of "grandpeople".....lol I sat next to a grandma and she seemed to enjoy it. I mean she didn't know alot of the ARTPOP songs, but she knew all the "oldies". ;) But walking to the exit after the show, there were so many older (really older, not 40 or something) people who went, which is great! Ronk 14,589
:applause: Great review. I am an older monster (70) and have exactly the same thoughts that you expressed about the show. There have plenty of pics now of people in their 80's going to artRAVE. It seems to be universally loved, even by critics who had been hard on Gaga. Like you said, it is important to actually attend a show and not rely on pics and clips. I think the show gives a glimpse into Gaga herself. Not only her music and singing, but the creative artist who envisions and builds grand concepts, the person with an eye for art and beauty, the giving person wanting her fans to remember these times, and the joyous person she is. She has built a celebration like no other, full of color, forms, motion, music, and joy. I live outside the space time continuum.
