On July 9th, she terminated a contract with Gordon College over the school’s support of a religious exemption to a federal regulation that bans discrimination in hiring based on s-xual orientation. I'm from Salem and I am SO proud of my hometown taking a stand against blatant discrimination of the GLBT community. I'm also really proud (so geeky) to admit that I helped put this woman into office in 2006 She's a very selfless politician, always has been, and really transformed the city.
