I've seen dozens of them at college...on stage after a theatre production, at ball games, at a music event or campus concert, at a swim meet, at a church outing, in front of family and friends, etc. Usually these couples have been dating for years and have been discussing marriage for a long time. That's how the person proposing knows that a public proposal will be a positive experience. Something like this, that is special to both people in the relationship, will be something they will never forget. They look pretty young, though, so I'm not sure how long they've been together. Its cute he wants to propose, but he should've just said that, not that he wants Gaga to take them on stage, leave that part to Karma and the goodwill of monsters who will direct attention to the couple that just proposed in the crowd. I dunno. Well she doesn't really need to read the letters, and I don't think they are emotionally blackmailing Gaga into anything very serious. I'm talking about the guy getting proposed to in front of Lady Gaga and a massive crowd. It just rubs me the wrong way. It isn't how I think proposals should be done. Getting proposed to would be a very emotionally intense moment as it is. It feels exploitive to do it in a situation like this because the person is extremely pressured to say yes in front of Gaga and an arena full of people. If they say no, it is not only an awkward environment for Gaga and the crowd but it also leads to a lot of embarrassment for both the people involved in the proposal.
